    Advice to Management

It is all about the people. Toxic people even in a minority will destroy any culture / working environment and make people hate to come to work. Please look out for such people and get rid of them.

I worked at Singtel part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The staff are friendly and the work is simple enough to be essentially stress free. Workplace is diverse as well.

    Cons

Too many IT systems in use and not maintained. Main cause of many customer complaints.

    Advice to Management

A revision to the business processes is advised, however complex it may be, steps need to be taken. Else, I can only envision a completely disorganised and helpless working environment in the future.

    Pros

Good and stable job. Work-life balance is good. Many old colleagues choose to stay in this company. Will work for singtel again if given a chance.

    Cons

Low starting salary. Big company means there is politics. pay increase is on the lower side due to the bell curve. and opportunities to move up could take very long. could take ages.

    Advice to Management

please get rid of the bell curve and appreciate the employees moe. its not fair to give a horrible peformance review just because you need to pull downsomeone in order to satisfy the bell curve.

    Pros

You can try to get your ideas up to management for review to be further developed

    Cons

There is no transparency to whether you are a high performer and career path is unclear. They will only inform you as need to know basis. So even if you are proactive it does not matter.

    Advice to Management

Make the career path visible so people aspire to get there.

I have been working at Singtel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job is usually very stable, and not very demanding.

    Cons

Huge structure with too much bureaucratic work. There are a lot of interesting ideas and tools but they end up being used for the sake of being used only.
Salary raises annually in a pathetic rate.

    Advice to Management

Somewhere down the line your spirit is lost. Actually there are a lot of talks and meetings trying to motivate the staffs but as always: actions speak louder than words. Disappointed staffs may not raise their concerns. They will just leave.
