I worked at SiriusXM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Really good people to work with

    Cons

Management makes it hell literally. Screaming, yelling and constant threat of you suck and you'll be fired.
If you want to be abused as an adult than this is the place for you.
    Good luck and stay strong

    Advice to Management

Trim the fat, innovate, focus on quality

I worked at SiriusXM part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Might open you up to some new opportunities; can, in rare times, be exciting

    Cons

Bad pay, bad hours. My management happened to be great, but several other managers are really not. HR does NOT have anything together whatsoever. I was a valued employee and I asked for a raise after a year and a half of working there and my manager tried very hard to secure one for me, but corporate does not want to give raises. In general, production staff is treated badly and corporate does not reward their talented employees. It's decently thankless work, too.

I worked at SiriusXM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked in the IT Infrastructure department. I liked my coworkers and being able to work from home some. The benefits are pretty good and we had "summer hours".

    Cons

My direct supervisor was not qualifed and upper management did not address it. Purchasing new equipment and renewing maintenance was an onerous multi-month process. The IT department was leading edge when I started but has slid drastically. Frequently maintenance is not current and vendor support is not available. Upper management does not support their employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. You pay us for our expertise. Better communication within departments is needed. Figure out how to buy stuff without it taking six months.

I have been working at SiriusXM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overtime opportunities, great insurance, pay rate is decent. I liked this company when I started, it was a friendly, and easy going environment, and communication was great among superiors, and employees.

    Cons

Schedules are not flexible, vacation time is not the easiest to get, and you are penalized for the smallest things. This company has gone downhill since I started, and I would not advise anyone to work here unless they made some major changes in morale.

    Advice to Management

Think of your employees, their lives, just like you expect us to with our customers.

    Pros

Free hot chocolate, pretzels, coffee, tea, soda, orange juice, Apple juice. And people seem to enjoy that. Oh, did you mean work related pros?

    Cons

No accountability, disorganized. You can plan on living check to check for your entire career at Siriusxm. Its corporate share cropping.

    Advice to Management

    Stop being cowards.

I have been working at SiriusXM full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of nice people to work with- they end up being your friend not just your co-worker. The free subscription while you are employed

    Cons

No raises or bonus. You will be overworked and not compensated. You will not get the title you deserve and or the pay scale salary for the job you are doing. So if you are working as a producer you most likely will have another title and less pay. Moving up in the company and achieving goals are very slow. Most people I have seen who ended up in certain scenarios knew the right person. It's very rare your excellent work ethic will actually land you the job you deserve.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. Your staff ie: producers, associate producers and board operators are the ones that keep shows running smoothly, efficiently and make them sound well. Don't overwork them and say that is what is expected. Give bonuses and raises.

I worked at SiriusXM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People there can make your job easy or hard. Pay is more than average. You feel good about yourself taking extreme situation calls. Free sodas

    Cons

Lots of office politics, you would need to get in good with somebody above the chain to advance. You will notice cliques around the center. Hours are not flexible despite being a 24hour operation due to frequent turn over rate whether its made with the employee or employer.

    Advice to Management

No more favoritism and run arounds.
