    Pros

    Coworkers
    Health Insurance
Experience - Get experience and leave at the first opportunity you get!
    Working with students

    Cons

This is the same for all the Campuses in the US.
    Worst place to work at!
If you disagree with anything, you are seen as a threat!
    Culture of the organization
    Management Morale
    Lack of respect
    Not Family oriented at all
    Profit above all
    Overworks all employees
    Disorganized
    No confidentiality
    Favoritism
    Lack of responsibility
    No professional development
They will hire for what you know and what you can bring to the company but not let you do anything once you're employed.

They dislike change and can never agree on anything because they are clueless about everything.

    Advice to Management

Learn your role and those you "Lead"
Stay updated on laws and regulations
    Learn to communicate properly
    Lead by Example
Learn to genuinely care for your employees and students.
Stop focusing on enrollment numbers and focus more on learning
Learn English and provide better resources for your staff to learn english.
Learn to motivate your staff instead of focusing on the negatives.
Most of the employees that stay working in this company really care about the company and the students. Cherish it instead of making them feel that their job is in constant jeopardy!
Get rid of a few directors! There are too many chiefs and not enough Indians!

    Pros

Benefits are pretty good. Co- workers support each other. You get to practice and improve your Spanish. Starting pay isn't too bad.

    Cons

No accountability from management. No support or presence from HR- ever. They would allow anyone to study here- literally as long as they're breathing- it's all about the numbers.

    Advice to Management

You only care about money and numbers.

    Pros

Winter and Holy week breaks are pretty much the only things I can think of. Zero accountability, so basically impossible to get fired.

    Cons

Pretty much everything else. Nepotism. General ineptitude. No idea how they're categorized as a non-profit. No career advancement or pay raises to speak of, unless you're friends/family with one of the many, many executives.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue. Listen to the employees who are actually doing your job for you. A university should be more concerned with education than marketing.

    Pros

Professional growth opportunities are available to those who demonstrate commitment to the institution's mission and vision. The institution is committed to educating the Hispanic community in the US with an innovative dual language model.

    Cons

The hours of the day are not enough to do all we want to do in order to impact as many people as we would like.

    Pros

everybody speaks Spanish and comes for Puerto Rico

    Cons

this is the best diploma mill in the USA. students counselors constantly lying to students. Some students end up graduating in 6-7 years because the lack of teachers. At the undergraduate level teachers are still doing graduate work; at the master's levels instructors are supposed to have a PhD but this is rare. Some students were constantly complaining about availability of classes. I do not recommend this school. The psychology program is not certified by the American Psychology Association(APA) and other certification entities. The US Department of Education is not familiar with abuses happening in this school. They need to be closed just like ITT and other diploma mills.

    Advice to Management

hire teachers with experience in their teaching fields and with PhD's. Create several sections with plenty of classes and times so students can choose from. for example psychology 101 -M-W-Th, Psychology 101 T-TH- S etc. If a teacher is going to be absent let students know or at least bring in a substitute teacher. Accommodate students who for religious reasons cannot attend classes on Friday sundown or Shabat(Jewish)(Muslim)

I worked at Sistema Universitario Ana G Mendez full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good medical and dental benefits New facility so the work environment is clean, and IT is up to date. You get time off during Holidays when the campus is closed. Vacation accrual and sick time accrual is adequate for this type of institution.

    Cons

Family run business so lots of nepotism and no opportunities for growth unless your related. Horrible work culture. People in leadership roles lack the knowledge, skills, credentials or experience to lead. Lots of turnover; like a revolving door. In USA, one campus is worse than the other. To say it in lay terms this is a "diploma mill".

    Advice to Management

Hire directors that actually have the skills, experience and credentials to lead. Don't just hire family. You don't have to look hard to figure out why students, faculty & staff are unhappy. Problems are systemic and ready to implode.

    Pros

There is cultural diversity and the team is supportive.
    The events/seminars are interesting.
    Traveling opportunities
    Good benefits.

    Cons

Horrible management! They scream at you in front of the team causing constant humiliation. You will feel constantly harassed by management.
There is no work balance, management expects that you stay late nights, weekends and continue working from home. There is a lot of contradiction when explaining duties, poor leadership, the work load is ridiculous and they want things done for yesterday.
Employees get panic/anxiety attacks and unhealthy exhaustion because of the work load and harassment. No growth opportunities.
Management is very hypocritical and there is favoritism.

    Advice to Management

    Respect your employees
Understand that everyone has a life apart from work
    Support your team
    Be humble
Be a leader not a dictator.

I worked at Sistema Universitario Ana G Mendez (More than a year)

    Pros

Good coworkers, some of them very supportive.

    Cons

Campus Managers are extremely disorganized and that engages in an irrational decision-making and very frustrated employees.
    Extremely high turnover rate.
Campus Managers are manipulative and lazy. They love to play the "Point fingers" game without assuming their "leading role".
    No work-life balance.
    No growing opportunities.

    Advice to Management

    Assume your leading role.
    Show example to your employees.
If you don´t know what you are doing, it is ok to ask a qualified employee for guidance even if this employee is under your supervision.
Stop sending hostile emails all the time and don't make the excuse that at the end of the day, you are the "ones dealing with everything" because you are not!.
Finally, remember that your current employees are working there because the have to, not because they want to.
