I worked at Sitel (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunities for promotion and advancement.

    Cons

They hire anyone off the street who knows basic math and basic reading comprehension. No outdoor seating. Metrics can be affected by customer surveys which are based on their experiences and situations prior to all the effort you may try to exert. Extensive internal fraud since they hire just about anyone with lack of integrity. Company more concerned about quantity over quality.

    Advice to Management

Need to have more company events. Create a exciting environment with more technology for employees to enjoy while on lunch breaks. I.E. Gym, lounge area. Outdoor seating for meals.

    Cons

No community, no proper management, benefits are a joke, work environment and moral is low.

    Advice to Management

Get a better managment and Team Lead staff that actually kmows what they are doing, instead of knucklehead people acting like they run the company.

    Pros

The coaches are absolutely helpful and all around great people.

    Cons

The pay was bad, the training program was a joke and did not at all prepare our class for the call floor. HR is also a joke. Making their employees that have to take leave due to being horribly ill feel even worse because they can't come in.

    Advice to Management

Replace your HR agents and your training material.

I worked at Sitel full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Opportunities to move up into low-tier management positions. Social atmosphere is good. You will learn a lot in this career that will help you in the future.

    Cons

Middle and upper management fails to live by their own advice. Moving up can be political depending on your location. Pay scale for promotion in the company is sub-par until you get in the executive bracket.

    Advice to Management

Agents are not paid enough for the stresses they go through. For management, there should be an understanding of job scope and work/life balance. Many positions above agent level require employees to work outside of the scope of their job, all while teaching people to manage client "scope creep" which is a very hypocritical way of working.
