I worked at Sitel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working from home; Competitive pay; full benefits

    Cons

Once you do crash training, you have chat support but are lucky to get assistance, so you have to learn your way around info to assist callers

    Advice to Management

Extend the training to make it more than "show and tell" session but you throw someone on a client's calls

I worked at Sitel (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    The onsite people were great!
Local management went out of their way to work with you on transportation and scheduling.
Paid training for each project, including up-training.

    Cons

Lower than average starting pay. Most call centers in the area start pay at at least 1-2 dollars higher per hour.
Pay cap. The most you could earn as a regular rep was only $1.50 per hour higher than the starting pay, regardless of performance or time on the job.

    Advice to Management

Remove the pay cap. Many people will stick with the job longer if they know they will be able to earn raises beyond your capped amount.

I have been working at Sitel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay without the commute working from home

    Cons

Work every weekend, mostly late day and night hours

    Advice to Management

Better communication from the company so employers don't have to worry about being placed on a new campaign....Job hunting starts when a lack of communication leaves us wondering if we'll be unemployed.

The work environment is great and allows individuals to grow with the company. The company is constantly asking employees for feedback so thier voices will be heard.

    Cons

It is a corporate company so you have to be prepared to adapt to changes that are outside of your control.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Good pay, unlimited overtime most of the time, plenty of incentives.

    Cons

Stressful calls from challenging customers who can be very rude and demanding. If you have a coach who cannot or will not do his job it makes your job much harder.

    Advice to Management

Make sure all coaches are equally well trained and start promoting the best performers regardless of how long they have sat in their chairs.

    Pros

There is opportunity to move to different departments or positions.
Provides ongoing training and guidance to help you reach your goals.

    Cons

They promote from within. This is good if you want to be a manager but a lot of people they promote to management are not suited for that position.

    Advice to Management

Promote more employees that show they have what it takes to be a manager instead of the people that you want to hang out with.
