I worked at Six Flags full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you are in rides then test riding the rides first thing in the morning are fun. Was especially fortunate in being able to work Kingda Ka.

    Cons

You will have to deal with guests that don't agree with park policy every day and that can take a lot out of you.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of employees at the bottom and you will see better results at the top. There was certainly a lack of constructive leadership presence for team members.

I have been working at Six Flags part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You make a decent amount of money and make plenty of friends

    Cons

The hours and days that you have to work are miserable. Never EVER work Fright Fest. Everyone quits and you get stuck working 12-15 hours a day. They make you work on holidays when they (top of the chain) gets to enjoy Easter dinner with their families.

    Advice to Management

Work some of the time and don't make us lower level management/team members do all the work

I have been working at Six Flags full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Team members and seasonal management all very hard-working, positive, and fun to work with. Great summer job for high schoolers and college students.

    Cons

The pay is quite simply, awful, and not a living wage. Long, long hours, and no work-life balance for seasonal or full-time management.

    Advice to Management

Pay your workers what they are worth according to what they do to promote company growth. The revolving door of quality employees will continue as long as wages are kept dismally low, and your long-time employees remain unvalued, unappreciated, and grossly underpaid.

I worked at Six Flags full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Frequent hours/work.
Your coworkers will have your back.
    Reasonably open environment.

    Cons

Uninterested and aloof middle to upper management.
    Pay is atrocious.
    Employees are treated as expendable.

    Advice to Management

It costs more to train new employees, and teenagers are not a reliable workforce. Invest in your workers and they will give you a good performance. Keep treating them poorly, and your turnover rate will be the death of your reputation.
