I have been working at Six Flags part-time

    Pros

Great way to meet new people and employees who can become long term friends maybe. Free admission to park as well as bring someone else. 35% discount on anything around the park. Discounts on tickets and season passes. Chance to higher positions can happen fairly quickly depending who you are and who you work with. Pay is weekly instead of bi-weekly, decent number of hours. Throughout the year you can receive complimentary tickets. Fairly most of the other co workers and management are nice.

    Cons

There are weeks where your hours can be many or not many at all. A lot of the managers and leads have favoritism and those favorites usually receive more hours than others. Discounted season passes and tickets are limited to how many you can buy and they still are not that cheap. Hours can be very long and very hot. Expect to take orders from someone who is a lead but much younger than you are possibly. Leads may know a decent amount of info on their job but they may lack respect, supervisors too. Not too sure how but word gets around a lot and necessary drama can get brought up as if people are re doing high school, then again you will be with a lot of young teenagers. There's one employee cafeteria so you can be right next to it or a whole 10 minute hot walk which can take 20 minutes round trip out of your lunch time walking. Also management can be petty.

    Advice to Management

    Be fair to all employees

I worked at Six Flags (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were friendly, discounts and free access to the park

    Cons

There's a bit of a social hierarchy within the security leads.

    Advice to Management

Work on who you put as white shirts because they tend to treat people horribly if one person doesnt agree with them
