    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    - If you are very young, it is exciting to mix with such a diverse crowd
    - Free tickets are great if you are into rides

    Cons

    - Depending on the job, long hours in direct sun, no shade, no water (when you run out and the TL is too slow to take care of you)
    - Terrible noise from the rides will drive you insane, especially when working double shifts
    - Slave labor, unbelievable rules and restrictions, will be searched going in and going out.
    - If you want to work, you have to buy your uniform, every single piece of it, including bags and watches, water bottles, etc. It tends to get freezing cold at night, but if you didn't want to spend an extra $30 on an ugly SF jacket, you will freeze and nobody cares.
    - Can't leave workplace for hours on end, had to beg for a bathroom break or a glass of water.
    - Transportation in overcrowded school buses unfit for full grown people, often 3 to a seat.
    - If you are an international, you have no car, no means of transportation and can't even buy food unless the company gives you a ride to Walmart once a week AFTER MIDNIGHT.

    Advice to Management

lower the prices of food, make sure local managers don't hate their jobs

    Pros

You get free admission into the theme parks .
There are some discounts for the employees.
You get to meet new people during the summer.

    Cons

YOU GET FIRED IF YOU REACH 50 POINTS. WRITTEN UP WHEN YOU REACH 25 PTS.
The pay sucks for the long hours you work.
Your paid 7.50-7.75 for the 1st 100 hours, then you move up .50 cents
If you are accused of stealing you cannot see the footage
There loss prevention team will demoralize you and make you feel like a criminal
    The management sucks
Please save your money if you have to travel to work there
They will not honor your schedule.
    There is too much gossip
Promotions are not fairly given out.
DO NOT WORK HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Do some actual work and reward the employees that do a great job. No more driving in the cars while we have to walk. Please change before more people quit. ALSO GET RID OF THIS DUMB 50 POINT SYSTEM.

    Pros

    Friends
    Can get days off easy

    Cons

Its not what you know, its who you know.
    Very low pay
Not the best place to gain respect
Mangement can make it harder than it needs to be

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone fairly, you can not expect 100% from your employees, if you only give 10%. Pay us better, and give us more perks the small things will make a diffrence, a major diffrence.

I worked at Six Flags part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Gave employees perks such as a free night or so and if you worked there long enough then you would qualify to get a free season pass.

    Cons

So many employees working and you get switched around so much that it's hard to create connections with people, moving up is okay but it really seems to be a system where you only move up if you know somebody. I only worked 3 or 4 days random days a month with minimum wage pay so its not very good on consistency.

I worked at Six Flags part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Meeting and making new friends. Thats all that i can think of

    Cons

Too many too list. My department was a game of politics. When your with a company 5 years and see one .10 raise, have to work out in the weather not having the back of mangement. Not knowing how you did on a promotion test, having someone who has been with the company 3 months get promoted over people with years of expirence. Breaks are done very bad breaks should be done 1st come 1st serve, but not in this place a person comes in at 10 gets a break at 12 leaves at 4, another person comes in at 8 gets a break at 2 leaves at 4.

Get use to fights with supervsiors about your shift, after being here 5 years i am glad i left the company.

    Advice to Management

Fix your department mangement, start over and do things fairly.

I worked at Six Flags full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good for experience and easy enough to get into low level leadership positions. Low level management is friendly enough most of the time. Great co-workers and free entry to park.

    Cons

Higher management is disrespectful. HR is only interest in protecting Six Flags's interests. International employees are forced to live in cheap apartments and while promised amenities like internet and comfortable mattresses few rooms actually make true on these promises. International employees are actually generally disrespected by management. I knew a girl who was fired and sent back to Asia because she was dehydrated, no one was bringing her water, so she melted Dip n Dots and drank them. Long hours expected and no overtime. Double shifts often scheduled, even when they are not if you are a Lead or higher expect to stay well past your scheduled shift.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate what employees do for your company. Treat them with respect. Treat international employees as adults (which they are, some with children).

I have been working at Six Flags full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working at a theme park lends itself to a unique work setting, fun co-workers, and lots of variety in the workday.

    Cons

Very poorly managed company. The company spends lots of money on some things and nothing on others. Cheap just doesn't describe it well enough. Lots of dryrotted, leaking, moldy trailers and buildings. Air conditioning and heating is a luxury that not all of the offices have.

    Advice to Management

Investing in the companies' facilities and employees will take the company to the next level.

I worked at Six Flags part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good Employee Benefits
    Pay raise every season
Ability to get rewards throughout the season
    Great guest experience
Free tickets and 30% off everything

    Cons

Entertainment was the worst. They expected perfection without really training for it.
6 managers all telling me different things and then getting mad at me for following other managers.
Was blacklisted and never told I was fired. They never gave me a reason and even made it look like I was going to be hired again until security kicked me out.

    Advice to Management

First, all leads and managers should be on the same page. The goal is to get guests to go see characters, right? Find a way to get together and not have different opinions. Second, actually tell someone they're not allowed back and what reason. Most people will be hurt, but if you tell them WHY they weren't welcomed back maybe they can learn for their next job. I still don't know what I did wrong!
