      Neutral Outlook
      No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Sizmek full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

This company could be the best alternative to the big G, but some missteps have put that in jeopardy. Best employees and minds working in a great collaborative environment.

      Cons

Chasing the bleeding edge has taken focus off of the core offerings.

      Advice to Management

Build upon the pre-existing strengths before venturing into uncharted waters.

"Love the People , Culture and Perks but Poor Upper Management"

            Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Sizmek full-time for more than 8 years

            Pros

-Laid-back office atmosphere -Unlimited PTO -Talented, Hard-Working and respectful coworkers, who are always willing to lend a hand. -Great tech potential- had great momentum to start the year with SAS coming to speed, DSP connect soon to be released, Data Explorer and a revamped DSP. - I will continue to say this over and over, but I love everyone at Sizmek and always have. Some of the best individuals to work...

            Cons

-Been apart of all the previous years acquisitions and while I love every single one of the Rocketfuel employees who joined our team, it was a poor decision to acquire them. If anyone truly paid attention to clients feedback around RF prior to the acquisition then you would know they didn't have a great rep and were a sinking ship- $1 billion IPO down to $200 million? Come on if that doesn't explain it I don't know what...

            Advice to Management

For those in upper management who oversea the Global teams, while I understand the news blind-sided you as well, it would have been nice for you to rally the troops and be sympathetic outside of one email. It's hard for everyone to swallow what has transpired the last few weeks, but instead messages are being posted to specific groups only and not a single org meeting was scheduled to just provide the employees with...

Almost all the best people have left. Not many left.

            Cons

Product team is a joke. CEO Is ‘transparent’ to employees by lying to them.

            Approves of CEO

I worked at Sizmek full-time for more than 5 years

            Pros

They tried to merge multiple companies, employees, and tech stacks after acquisitions and did a good job at first. Management was very optimistic despite sales and revenue declining through the years. Positive work environment despite all the problems and challenges.

            Cons

They had to declare chapter 11 bankruptcy because of a lack of revenue. They could not pay some of their employees and had to lay off many more.

            Advice to Management

Don't let your best employees leave after acquisitions, because you lose too much knowledge that can't be made up with contractors.

I worked at Sizmek full-time for more than a year

            Pros

Ability to WFH and avoid seeing mismanagement up close. Free lunch and snacks. (Lunch is gone. Snacks [temporarily?] gone due to bankruptcy. Good people who were hamstrung by poor C-Level management.

            Cons

Poor management. “TaaS: Transparency as a Slogan” but not in reality. This couldn’t have happened to a more incompetent set of executives. These castoffs from Xaxis seemed to have mismanaged from Day 1. The CTO believed in Management by Flying Around. He spent more time in the air than in thought about how to integrate the stack. Memo to CTO: searching for cheaper and cheaper places to find engineers is not leadership....

            Advice to Management

Please do not ever seek to run a company again. You have failed miserably in terms of vision and execution. Engage in prayerful contemplation before ever considering a leadership role again, as your incompetence has hurt countless very good and hardworking people.

I worked at Sizmek full-time for more than a year

            Pros

Started out a great place to work with lots of perks: Great PTO/Maternity/Paternity policy, incredible co-workers (some still remain), opportunity/encouragement to expand knowledge, nice solid domain infrastructure with working tools that one might take for granted like Office 365. I felt valued in the beginning and was building my skills. I absolutely loved it!

            Cons

Once Rocket Fuel was acquired we received new management which immediately wanted to remove computers from the domain and get rid of DCs. They got rid of Exchange/Office365 Online Exchange and moved to G-Suite and got rid of the Office Suite for much of the company including IT. Feedback and opinions from those not from legacy RF not really regarded and not welcomed much. I had a strong sense that nothing we did mattered....
