I have been working at Skanska UK full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Skanska is a really good company, very caring towards employees, has a lot of work in really big civils projects, and is committed to being an environmentally friendly company. Graduate scheme perks include company car.

    Cons

On the graduate scheme you're expected to be flexible and work in different locations across the UK according to the project you're working from. Skanska don't offer graduates lodge allowance.

I worked at Skanska UK full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people, the processes, the systems, the ethos - environment health and safety record and desire to get better. There's a huge amount going for this company ....

    Cons

    ... But
Too many layers of management, too many empire builders, too many big egos, too many senior and executive managers with not enough experience, too much rapid promotion and changes at the top. A lot of brand and not enough substance.

    Advice to Management

Skanska has come a long way in the last 20 years but don't let the grey heads disappear because you haven't done enough to ensure up and coming managers have the knowledge to be able to avoid financial disasters
