Great culture with commitment to customers, employees and sustainability. Very ethical - The company does the right thing "when no one is looking". Very innovative environment. Always looking for ways to improve our operations and develop our talent. strong leadership team that has been in place for a while. excellent customer focus leads to lots of repeat business.

    Cons

sometimes manages to the "lowest common denominator". - which adds unnecessary policies and procedures. Needs to have more trust in their people and teams. Support services are sometimes given too much input over operations and project teams.

Trust your project teams and people to do the right thing - you can't manage out bad behavior through policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.

    Pros

A top construction management firm, competitive salaries, big name projects and in general easy going colleagues.

I worked at Skanska USA Building (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Skanska is a professional, well organized, and successful organization. They hire and keep great talent, take care of there employees, and are well respected. For being a large organization, they communicate well and give you a good sense of global operations and events.

    Cons

There are not too many negatives that come to mind. Work/life balance may be difficult depending on your team members, but they have a work hard play hard mentality.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develope and keep your top talent. Organization and Communication for a large company is difficult to achieve and Skanska seems to be on the right track.
