I worked at Skechers U.S.A. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Creative environment, fun people, lots and lots of responsibility and production projects. Amazing seeing your work on store-shelves at malls. I had a very positive experience here. Loved their on site restaurant and facility.

    Cons

Toxic employees can ruin an otherwise great experience. Travel to China is a drag, China sucks. Super low pay makes it hard to stay here due to LA getting more expensive every year.

I worked at Skechers U.S.A. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Worked here for two years as a designer. Loved my boss, and company seemed to care for its employees. Salaries are ok, nothing great. Sense of a community but really competitive between departments. Every department internally is in competition with each other for best sellers. Experience will vary depending on which department you are in. Some departments are basically industry copy cats, others are innovators. You can guess which by reading lawsuit news. Location cannot be beat. Made some good friends here, had a lot of fun being around the culture. Corporate intrigue is to the minimum, which makes for a very pleasant work environment. Managers shield their employees from stress, but are themselves often overworked. Hours for design employees are flexible and reasonable. If you deliver a well selling design, you will get fair amount of respect and leeway, regardless of experience. Cafeteria staff could open their own restaurant if they wanted to - it's really good.

    Cons

Few minor gripes. Management is composed of shoe designer veterans who are not always open to new workflow ideas. A lot of work here is going to feel really repetitive and non creative if you're coming from a different industry. Travel is not business class. Design is often not prioritized over meeting deadlines. This results in half baked goods.

I worked at Skechers U.S.A. full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Decent benefits. Equinox Gym discounts. Nice location. Good onsite cafe. Pretty modern building. Discount on shoes... That's about it. All the superficial stuff.

    Cons

Major corporate politics and family involvement. Not very understanding or accommodating to personal family needs. No communication. Lots of ego. Lame.

I have been working at Skechers U.S.A. full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Pay was great and building was well maintained, clean with visually pleasing surroundings and a convenient cafe just for their employees.

    Cons

Everything else. People in charge are unwholesome, mischievous and greedy with no social responsibility. They do not care about their employees and working hard will not be enough to keep your job. They make you feel disposable and they want you to know it. Trying to scare you into working harder is their strategy. You are constantly judged and made fun of behind your back. People get laid off left and right just because. The list goes on...

I worked at Skechers U.S.A. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great location, especially if you live in the South Bay area. People (besides management) are great.

    Cons

It is a horrendously bad work environment. Especially in the Advertising Department. Management treats employees poorly. Management is unreasonable, illogical and acts in an extremely unprofessional manner. IT is the only department with solid management, skills and understanding of work-life balance.
