Reviews about "minimum wage"

Pros
Lots of options for work - if you want a job you can get one. Loved working in the library, and some other departments on campus. Dining services is rough and everyone is required to work there the first year.
Cons
Minimum wage, lots of variation for different jobs (even within one department). Luck drives most of how you'll like your job.

Student Assistant- English Department
Feb 8, 2016 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Super easy job, great boss (sweet, chatty) working for fantastic professors who usually ask very little of student employees- looks good on a resume, particularly the administrative duties. Hours are very flexible and tailored to your schedule- once you get this job, you have it for the rest of your time as a student unless you really mess up.
Cons
Pretty low pay for students, minimum wage, but if you're just looking for spending money it isn't too bad. Can be a bit boring if you don't have any work to do to fill your time, but I usually have a great amount that I have to get done so I'm never unoccupied.
