    Pros

I was an American working in Osterley for Sky. Sky Movies was probably the most welcoming team of professionals I've ever worked with. They were incredibly accomodating, interesting, friendly, and compassionate. As an intern, they did not treat me like an intern. They were a hardworking group, and I can't think of a better place to work.

    Cons

None. Best work experience I've ever had.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Great people and a nice atmosphere, good benefits package, great technology and products. The company offers a lot of training opportunities for graduates and they take staff development seriously. The projects are big budget and the work is quite interesting for the most part. It's a good place to start and build a career and a lot of senior people started at the bottom of the business.

    Cons

Lots of cost-cutting and smaller budget short-termism in the current environment and lots of "characters" in senior management roles which can leads to bickering.

    Advice to Management

    Be more visible and accountable

    Pros

Sky has lots of super-talented people and it's a risk-positive environment - compensation and benefits packages are great especially outside central London. There are no blocks to advancement but it does require you to be entrepreneurial about career progression. The business seems to be pretty robust even in a tough economic climate and staff are valued extremely highly. There's also a genuine commitment to CSR and the community around Sky and they really walk the walk on the environment stuff - it's a good place to work all in all.

    Cons

Can be hard to progress if you don't "make your own luck".

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at Sky full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company with the media coolness effect but in the technology department it is very professional and well organised, with dedicated employees ready to help. Work/life balance environment is very good too with decent working hours, paid overtime and standard 25days holidays. You do get free Sky+HD subscription, which is always a plus! There are loads of opportunities to evolve as it's a large company with lots systems/departments.

    Cons

Well if you're not into sports like me, it's problematic as we have TVs everywhere and every cricket/F1/football game is on!

I have been working at Sky full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All preconceptions went out the window when I started at Sky, even though they're a big company, the emphasis they place on looking after their staff is huge - and you can feel it in the morale around the company. It's also a really fluid organisation, managers will always let their teams know what happens in leadership/management meetings and you're invited to participate and contribute, and ideas are always welcome.... The benefits are great and everyone I've worked with across the business has been so friendly and ready to go the extra mile to help you, whatever you may need.

    Cons

It would be great if there was more of a social scene within easy reach!

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

Creative and Vibrant industry staffed with people who really want to be there.
All sorts of development opportunities available - especially for those who do their job well and are prepared to lobby for other opportunities.
    Great benefits

    Cons

Wallflowers will stay as such. You need to be proactive to be noticed
Location - Isleworth is a bit of a trek
