Cons

Sky seems to have some sort of politically-aligned motivator for hiring minorities. While this is not a problem on itself, the way this is implemented means some people get to be hired solely because of their ethnicity, regardless of their skills, leaving meritocracy on a limbo. This makes it harder, in some departments, to get promoted, for example, or to get a raise, because instead of rewarding people's efforts, they prefer to hire someone with ethnical background to make their graphs look good, which is unfair in the end of the day. It might seem I'm contradicting myself as I put as a "pro" point the ability of being promoted. That varies with the department. Other than that, I have no complaints. Seriously, this is a great company. If you have problems working on whatever part of Sky you end up, just change teams or change departments. It's a big company with many opportunities.

Cons

Very stressful, micro managing employees, difficult sales targets, favouritism, bullying. Customers can be difficult but I found the pressure from managers completely destroyed my confidence and mental health. You are not a person to sky, you are your weekly stats. If your stats drop then be prepared to be treated like crap and constantly under supervision. At the end of the day the pressure and stress is not worth the free sky.

- Management can be very incompetent - Not activeness in keeping people, just waiting for resignation to ensure people don't want to leave - Overtime not paid and sometimes expected to be done

- Average salaries. Any increase is minimal, so unless you leave the company and come back you can't get a decent salary. - There's tons of politics! It's like you are not working for the same company. The teams don't work together. - There's no training. They provide linked-in learning that is a joke. And anything more than that depends on the team, which results to be nothing or best case scenario a coursera course. - Feels like there's no progression at all.
