I have been working at Sky full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits Fun environment Fast paced Interesting products and services People are generally friendly and committed Corporate awareness of environmental impact and efforts towards change

    Cons

Fast pace can be frustrating when there is insufficient time to implement change and constant competition for the same resources.

I have been working at Sky full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great pay for an entry level job not requiring a degree etc Ability to make up to £400 per month in bonuses Great benefits like free Sky, Christmas gift, food on occasions

    Cons

Soul crushing Customers can be really horrible as in any job but you get a lot of them in succession Everything is recorded and monitored and it feels like you’re being spied on and if you’re not absolutely 100% perfect at everything (and nobody can be) you’ll get pulled up about it and interrogated about how you think you could improve Can be demeaning - customers and management So many people I know developed... anxiety and depression working there, dreading the next call coming in If you had any time off sick you had to have a “back to work interview” to find out why you were off, if they can “support” you or do anything to help etc but it’s actually a pretty intimidating process and although they say the right words everyone always felt like it was an interrogation and to try put you off ever being absent again

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Sky full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great benefits, above and beyond the standard in the industry. The Isleworth location is a great location to work in, with up to date facilities.

    Cons

Highly stressful environment. Leadership decisions often made without consideration of the impact on staff. Staff typically overwork and not very support.

    Advice to Management

There is more to a company than the benefits. Employees need to feel valued and reward for their efforts.
