Is Russia REALLY losing the war? I watch local, national, and international news (BBC, DW, Sky News). I even watch some independent YouTube channels and they all say Russia is losing. The war has not ended (obviously), the Ruble has rebounded, sanctions has not had the desired effect, and we're all feeling the impact. After Vietnam, and Iraq, I wonder if we're just being fed Western propaganda. Is there another meaning of "losing" I'm not getting?

Work can be stressful at times, impacting work-life balance. But then that happens in most work places

Sky as a company is good, just don't work in any of the Service departments

    Pros

Great perks and staff benefits Amazing Osterley campus with great restaurants, food and gym On site cinema Always some event or activity happening on-site where you may get a chance to spot a celebrity or two (pre-Covid) Get to work with some amazing forward-thinking people but fully dependent on which department you work in Great graduate scheme

    Cons

Extremely backwards and yes-man leadership if you work in Customer Service departments Work-life balance is non-existent; getting e-mails/calls late night or at a weekend is not something you look forward to but it's so common it's become the norm People of colour are very much overlooked and treated as an outcast regardless of what they achieve or deliver Very poor and toxic work environment (specially if you work in the customer service department) where loudest person in the room or call is recognised

Great perks, be prepared for politics and no career progression

Feb 22, 2021 - Propositions Controller in London, England
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Free Sky, great perks, car allowance, good maternity leave and parental leave

    Cons

Be prepared for no work/life balance but also no career progression. Most promotions are about who you know rather than being good at your job. Poor manager behaviour and many pandering upwards and bullying downwards. Mandatory rotations used as excuse to keep you at the same level, no plan for promotion or routes to promote. No genuine promotion of diverse backgrounds despite a lot of PR talk about it. There is no line manager feedback, just a general people survey that doesn’t allow you to provide 360 feedback on poor managers.

    Cons

Work life balance sometimes is negatively skewed, bit beaurocratic processes that cause delays but it is expected with such a large workforce
