I have been working at SkyWest Airlines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Health benefits, flight benefits, flexibility, quick seniority, quarterly bonuses after 1 year employment. Everyone here at Skywest has been nothing but helpful and great! I love the company morale and we get the best flight benefits in the business. The grass looks better at our mainline partners (pay, quality of life, union, and such), but the whole industry is about "seniority" and my seniority at Skywest is moving up much faster than it would at any one of our mainline partners which makes my job much more flexible. We have the best selection of domiciles to chose from. Instructors during training were great and very helpful and you can see how much they love their job and the company they work for. Company provides uniform during training, and after 1 year of employment we get a quarterly allotment for new uniform pieces. Highest paying regional. Quarterly bonus$$. I really love my job.

    Cons

Reserve life at any airline is hard. Long hours. The pay for the amount of hours we work is a hard adjustment once you start working the line but gets better after 1 year. Training was 31 days with only 2 days off for the whole time we were there.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I worked at SkyWest Airlines full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazing company who values their employees, treats them with respect and dignity I would highly recommend this airline to anyone who wants to be a flight attendant.

    Cons

I really have no negative feelings about this company the only downside is being on reserve but that's to be expected wherever you go.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do what you do this company will continue to climb the ladder of success!

    Pros

Great Company, a growing company but still small enough so they know who you are!

    Cons

Lower pay than other airlines, but not terrible for a regional carrier.

I have been working at SkyWest Airlines full-time

    Pros

The absolute best Regional Airline in the business to work for. A place where you still like family working together as crew members. The management is open, transparent and works hard to ensure we have the tools we need to succeed.

    Cons

Working as a flight attendant you will be away from home during holidays and weekends. It can get lonely being on the road. A great way to make this work out for you is to not pay attention to the actual date of the holiday. Christmas at our home is when the whole family can get together, that is all that matters.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what you are doing. I absolutely love the support that I get from my Chief Flight Attendant all the way up to the Vice President of Inflight.

    Pros

    Excellent company with great benefits.

No stability in the Customer Service due constant changing ground handling contracts.

    Advice to Management

More focus needed on the SkyWest Contract side of the house.

I have been working at SkyWest Airlines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

SkyWest is a great company that takes care of their employees. I have found a home until I retire. The flight benefits alone are enough to keep someone around for awhile.

    Cons

The scheduling can be a little tough while first starting out. This is to be expected as everything is based on seniority.

I love this career! I might have found my permanent work home! I like the flexibly, the crazy hours and the people. No 2 days are the same.

    Cons

    Long days short nights.
