    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Skyline Corporation (Indiana) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Comfortable work environment, pay is good, opportunity for advancement, opportunity to grow your salary.

    Cons

Benefits aren't the greatest. The company is rebounding from the recession, like all other home manufacturers. Things could be better, but overall I'm happy.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the long-term outlook of the company. Many changes seem short-sighted, and not thought through as they should.

I worked at Skyline Corporation (Indiana) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There were no silos between departments. Everyone tried their best to be a team.

    Cons

Since they are a publicly traded company it was no secret that they struggled to be profitable.
More effort to increase sales would have been better action than cutting vital jobs of long term dedicated employees.

    Advice to Management

Need a marketing plan and stick to it. Don't try to be all things to all customers. Stick to the knitting (what you know and do best). Also diversify. Use some of your excess manufacturing space and capacity to make Business -To - Business products.

Pay, stability, hours, benefits, and wonderful co-workers.

    Cons

Upward mobility is very difficult. Make sure you are happy in your job.

    Advice to Management

Be open to a younger workforce. The average age in the corporate office is 67.

    Pros

Lots of overtime offered to employees when the economy is at least average. Great people working at the corporate headquarters.

    Cons

Can lead to long hours if on hourly pay. Recognition from superiors is close to zero. Very set in ways.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees and value their input. Get to know all employees at the corporate headquarters. maximize the employees strengths
