    Pros

Teamwork is great during the nightshift but It may be due to the lack of CNAs at night.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Skyline Medical Center (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Skyline is a great place to work! Employees get a 30% discount in the cafeteria and administration has periodic free meals for employees (for certain holiday or to just say thanks!). The hospital is expanding and adding more and more specialties (stroke center, trauma center, etc.). Upper management is friendly and approachable and take the time to learn the names of the employees.

    Cons

It's in a rough part of town but it seems to be getting better as Nashville grows.

Be more of a manager instead of trying to be a best friend to some.

    Pros

My fellow nurses were extremely helpful. Skyline was my first job after graduating, and the transition from student nurse to RN was made easier because of my co-workers.

    Cons

It's a very tough and stressful job. Not enough nurses on the floors.

I have been working at Skyline Medical Center part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    some nice people, good pay

    Cons

work is not very clinical... all I do is take patients to the bathroom
They put money before patient safety.
There are never enough nurses or techs to safely staff a floor

    Advice to Management

utilize your techs for more clinical functions
