I have been working at Skyline Ultd full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company has been in business for fourteen years. The company is staffed with former senior military officers, giving them a competitive advantage of understanding the demands of a military environment.

    Cons

The company does not appear to be concerned about its employees. As long as I have worked here, I have never experienced a timely open enrollment. If we get two weeks to decide on a plan, that is a good year.

    Advice to Management

Announce open enrollment at least one month out so employees will have an opportunity to weigh their options. It would also be good to improve communication with employees throughout the year.

    Advice to Management

Management was great and very helpful in anyway possible.

I have been working at Skyline Ultd full-time

    Pros

Some great people have worked here, and there's been good teamwork and camaraderie, with a good approach of bringing people up through the ranks.

    Cons

This was once a great place to work, but some poor business strategies have left the company floundering, greatly downsized, and everyone wondering what tomorrow will bring. No transparency in decision-making, everything seems to be done on spur-of-the-moment decisions, and everyone seems afraid of what will happen next. What was once a joyful place to work has turned into a sad and dreary place.

    Advice to Management

Process and transparency. It does little good to bring in highly skilled and high-priced experts if their insight is ignored, and if every decision seems to be spontaneous. Cultivate an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, not of fear.

    Pros

Great organization that cares about its employees. Excellent benefits package and compensations. Work hours are also wonderful.

    Cons

After having to leave my position, and although I was asked about my transition and future location, there were no contracts available in the state I was moving to. The only downside to working for a government contractor. Otherwise, no complaints.

    Pros

Great interaction with all kinds of people. Many opportunities to work your way up if you're patient.

    Cons

Time-off policies are skewed. Benefits are awarded on a year to year basis instead of a work ethic basis.
