I worked at Skyridge Medical Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co workers are awesome there the only reason why I stayed as long as I did.

    Human Resources where really helpful

    Cons

Management verbally abuses and get away with it.

Sodexo is the worst management company I ever dealt with.

Always something wrong with your pay check

Tell you there gonna give you raises and then you don't get as much as they told you

    Advice to Management

    Get new management

I worked at Skyridge Medical Center full-time

    Pros

The RNs working the floor were incredibly hard-working and literally kept each other going with their comraderie. Very rare to see - but kind of sad since...

    Cons

The administration is greedy, care more about aesthetics and making up for the outrageous construction budget than the care of their staff ( which ultimately leads to care of patients). It's so widely known in the Denver area that Sky Ridge nurses are paid less, worked harder, and treated with complete condescension that only out-of-staters have accepted offers recently. Staffing is in such a crisis that patient safety is sometimes at risk and quality of care almost always a challenge. Nurses constantly feeling like they can't give good care and are actively seeking jobs outside of Sky Ridge. This hospital is obviously beautiful but that is at the cost of their nurses and other amazing staff!

    Advice to Management

You have hardworking and amazing staff - more importantly, they are very smart and see right through all the rhetoric. They know meeting productivity means bonuses for Directors...the cronyism is well-known and talked about by staff. It's a sinking ship - new leadership is desperately needed and the construction budget cannot be a higher priority than ensuring proper staffing for safe nursing care.

I worked at Skyridge Medical Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

meet some interesting people, work with some who work hard and others who get away with crap cause the bosses like them.

    Cons

crappy management, treated bad, favoritism for some

    Advice to Management

Try treating everyone equally. playing favoritism offends others. Don't pick on some and let others do what ever they want to do. Negativity comes from management so hard not to be negative. Appreciate who you have instead of telling them "If you don't like it, then leave!" No one should be BULLIED at their place of work!

I worked at Skyridge Medical Center part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers that promote team work.

    Cons

Poor managment, very profit oriented, usually at the cost of patient safety. Promotions based on whether you are in the "in" group. Management has staff convinced that there are no jobs for nurses in the community and everyone is dispensable. Interestingly they are currently offering bonuses to current employees if they can recommend a new hire. The reputation in the community is one of poor care due to overworked staff that simply do not have the time to provide care.

    Cons

Filthy...Filthy hospital.....All about profits. Nurses mop floors and empty trash.Buildt large new building, while the other building is filled with fungus and MRSA.

    Advice to Management

Make management do the nurses jobs for a minimum of 12 hours monthly.
