        1. No work life balance 60 + hour work weeks including weekends 2. Management in Chaos- Echoed in several reviews on here 3. Toxic Culture. Good people leave, marginal to sub average people stay for the pay check because they are unemployable elsewhere. 4. I worked at Skyworks Solutions full-time for more than 4 years

        Pros

You get your space to do what needs to be done.

        Cons

Pay could be better. Health insurance is too expensive and crappy. Facilities are old, dark and dingy. There is not even a lounge to take a private phone call or simply to enjoy your break. You are expected to be available even during off hours and sometimes even during your time off and weekends.

        Advice to Management

Invest in the employees and facilities in the US rather than investing capital in offshoring. Loyalty pays off in the longer term in quality, satisfaction rate and lower turnover rate.

Flexibility of Working Hours Good Old-fashioned Money You will become a part of a big community

        Cons

HR employees are incompetent, they lack the human skills. HR employees are dishonest. HR is not objective and fair, lack of intelligence. HR is too involved in office politics. HR policies without exception. HR specialist is inflexible and not able to see other options or reasons for exceptions, will create low morale among the workforce, and can result in higher employee turnover – that’s expensive. I have been working at Skyworks Solutions full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

There's less bureaucracy than other companies I've worked at.

        Cons

Managers do not have metric tied to employee's satisfaction. In fact, there's no way of giving them feedback without escalating up. Some managers, including mine, are terrible but rely on good engineers to look good. The old engineers will stay because of the paycheck, the new engineers stay around 2-3 before finding better opportunities.

        Advice to Management

Try to get feedback from employee during annual review for managers. It will help drive improvement with the managers and ensures some transparency.

I have been working at Skyworks Solutions full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

        Lots of products to do.

        Cons

        1. No work life balance. 2. Not enough support engineers for design. 3. Not enough design engineers. 4. Management is a chaos. 5. Nothing to learn in technical.

        Advice to Management

Look at some engineering managers, they know nothing but try to mange the team. Should spend money and try to improve the work environment.
