I have been working at Slalom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The culture here is amazing! Working across teams, with leaders, with peers is so easy - everyone takes Slalom's values very seriously and you can see it in each project. I've never worked anywhere else that has so many people that really strive to do the right thing always. It makes it easy to come to work with a smile, and makes taking on big/scary initiatives and projects more fun because you know you'll have great support along the way.

    Cons

Slalom is still developing infrastructure in some key areas. There are a few tools/processes that make it feel a lot like a start up - but that also means that the right person in the right role can make a big impact by coming up with solutions to areas that haven't been "fixed" yet. BUT - patience and flexibility/adaptability are key. Some materials/development opportunities feel limited for Corp. Services/non-billable employees, but even that is getting better (I've seen big improvements over the past two years).

    Advice to Management

Keep it UP. There are SO many great reasons why so many of us are #SlalomProud.

I worked at Slalom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good compensation package and great sales team. Great culture from corporate office and original employees. Nice offices and holiday parties.

    Cons

Agressive management that tends to point fingers at consultants when the customer is being difficult. Poor training. Poor partnerships with larger companies.

    Advice to Management

Hire more females and improve the post sales follow ups with clients. Make sure management is experienced with consulting and knows how to train employees.

I have been working at Slalom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I've had the pleasure of recently completing Slalom's Integral Leadership Program (ILP). We were asked to develop one big thing to help us in our career. I thought it was one of the most engaging, thorough, transparent professional development programs. It was very well done and catered to ensuring that each individual got the most out of the program. I have found strategic advancement and my professional satisfaction has increased due to this program.

    Cons

I wish I would have done the training sooner in my career at Slalom.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in your people. It makes a tremendous difference to their lives and professional satisfaction.

I have been working at Slalom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent focus on work-life balance, annual reviews are always helpful and insightful into what skills you can improve upon. Also, within the XM team, the culture is young and vibrant.

    Cons

Sometimes you get staffed on a project with a difficult client, which can be very frustrating. Though Slalom works well to address any issues you bring up, sometimes finding and applying the right solution can take time.

    Advice to Management

Keep building up the culture of the company, and try to be more competitive with salaries.

I have been working at Slalom (More than a year)

    Pros

The best part about Slalom is the people you work with. Everyone here seems to be on the same team and aiming towards the same goal of loving their work and life.

    Cons

Working in Corporate Services in Seattle really separates you from the rest of the company. CS employees are not nearly as valued as the resources in the field, which is understandable to a degree. Not a lot of opportunities for advancement and pay is below average.

    Advice to Management

Continue to create that great culture as we continue to grow but don't forget to bring everyone along with you!
