    Pros

Worked in sales and now at the corporate office. Enjoyed both sides of it, although commissionable sales can be stressful at times. Employee stock ownership plan, friendly-family working atmosphere, concert tickets, perks, company parties and employee discounts are all great.

    Cons

Would like to have lower prices on health insurance for family and children. Would also like to have paid sick days.

    Pros

I've worked here for 7 years and have seen this company grow tremendously and with it the people working for the company. They treat their employees very well with good salaries, commission plans if you are sales and bonuses. They are constantly working to provide the best benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K match, even an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. On the fun side they have several company events with lots of prizes, free concert tickets, and the ability for anyone to make an impact with their foster kids program. I am proud to work for Sleep Country, proud we help people find a good night sleep and proud we help foster children every day.

    Cons

With constant growth comes a lot of change. Training new people, opening stores quickly, new projects. If you like to be challenged or adapt easily you'll have no problem.

    Advice to Management

Great Job! The corporate office is filled with people that are the best in thier field. They make hard decisions everyday and the proof is in numbers, which in this case is a whole lot of beds going out the store doors. Store leadership is great as well and work as a team to make sure everyone is at their best.

Rapid growth only if you have the right attitude
Generous CEO who surrounds himself with great people.

    Cons

Work life balance can be tough through all levels

Increase SLT level employee's salary in the bay area to a livable wage. It makes if difficult to want to join middle management due to pay cuts for a promotion and more responsability

    Pros

Decent amount of free time. Co-workers are fun. Not labor intensive. Great training program. Good promotion opportunities both in title and responsibility. Best 401k of ANY company I worked for. My managers legitimately care.

    Cons

Hours are long and no weekends. It is retail. Pay is either high or low. But they did tell me all these things ahead of time. High washout rate. Although they do let you off there is no sick leave. Health coverage is pricy but its free once you become a manager.

    Advice to Management

I know things can difficult considering this business and it is up to us to keep work life balance, but sick time would be nice.
