I worked at Smalley Steel Ring full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people at the company are very friendly. Management are very nice to lower employees. It's a very stable job.

    Cons

The money you make is terrible even if promised that if you exceed your work levels it will change. Management always has an excuse why they can't provide more money. Out of no where you can be working 60+ hours a week with no money increase during salary time.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better and they will work harder for you.

I have been working at Smalley Steel Ring full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Smalley has been around for over 50 years, and through continued growth still maintains an over all positive culture. My manager is an advocate for my own professional growth, and is open to hearing ideas and ways to improve different areas. Additionally, they are huge advocates of work life balance, and the owners are always looking for ways to give back to the employees.

    Cons

Working for a small company means that it might take more time for promotions, etc. but manager's work with employees to give them growth in responsibilities, and set a plan for employees futures.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your employees and promote ideas for growth and development.
