I have been working at SmartRevenue part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Schedule flexibility
    Every project is different, variety
Meet many different people on the job
    Great communication with managment
    Potentially great bonuses
Pretty good pay for time investment
Potential to grow within the company based on your performance and professionalism
    Validation of hard work
    Communicate through email corporate members

    Cons

Not steady, you may be sitting a few weeks or months out until a project is available in your location, besides that, its a great way to supply your income when projects do come around

    Advice to Management

Have more one on one phone calls to touch base with each ethnographer involved in a project. It would allow ethnographers to have more of a connection with managers, and build a more solid company moral

I have been working at SmartRevenue (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Interesting assignments and nice employees and managers. It's always a good possible source of additional income.

    Cons

Projects opportunities are too inconstant and few, surveys given are often too long for casual short intercepts, which forces the ethnographer to rush instead of engage and observe, and increased focus on "feet on the street" interviewing can put undue pressure on the ethnographer to reach their quota for interviews without former permission of the property that they will be conducted on. This can create an uncomfortable situation.

I worked at SmartRevenue part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have flexible and great projects- when you can get them.

    Cons

They do not pay well at all. You need a BA for $15 and hour- $18 for master and a PHD $22. They do not pay more if you are bilingual. I speak 4 languages- but since they would not pay for it, I NEVER told them about it.
They do not have direct deposit.. They MAIL your checks. Who does that? Crazy.
They have very few people within the company that are actually professional. They hire very green people with little or no experience and them toss them into management. Most of their ' PMs' have very little knowledge of professional decorum. They will blame you if they did something wrong or they will not acknowledge any wrong doing. Zero accountability. They are very, very disorganized. To be frank the place is a joke- but if you have some extra time and want to make a few bucks- then do it. Do not expect to be impressed.

    Advice to Management

    Pay more for bilinguals.

I have been working at SmartRevenue part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No micro managing, very good communication across the company & staff, the people are amazing, and the work always varies which keeps things interesting. Love this work place!

    Cons

The pay structure changed recently, and the hours are nor very consistent. sometime you'll work more than full time and sometimes there no work for months at a time.

    Advice to Management

Share the hours. Rotate schedule between everyone equally.

    Pros

the opportunity to grow and learn is great, this is a fast growing small company with lots of potential, many people have started part-time, then joined the company full-time, then receiving promotions into manager level positions

    Cons

long hours with no compensating time off, many hours in the evenings and on weekends, with many long nights and no comp time, turnover higher than average due to work load, but at least we are busy

    Pros

Being right out of college it offers decent money.

    Cons

Not a very good work schedule. You never really know when to expect your next assignment or where it will be. Some of the stores you work for are really strict and unccesarily odd about what their requirements are about dress code. You also have to wait a long time to be paid. Turn in the invoice on the 10th of one month and get paid on the 5th of the next. Almost a months time, not very good when you're pressed for time to be on a work schedule.

    Advice to Management

None that I know of, this is just how the company works and if the extra money helps then it does.

    Pros

Learn marketing research, travel and earn, interaction with different costumers makes you extrovert, strong point on your resume, good for students looking a part time earning

    Cons

No good chance for promotion, virtual office makes it difficult to know seniors and coworkers, sometimes wait two months to get a new project on hand, get paid after 30/40 days

    Advice to Management

Set up direct deposit instead of sending checks,
