I worked at Smashburger part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people you work with really grow on you, the atmosphere within the staff is great.

    Cons

Manager does not take her job seriously, AT ALL. It’s very dirty, filled with ants and flies. It is always extremely hot in the place, and when hired you are not trained properly. Basically teach yourself until you get it.

    Advice to Management

Actually care about your staff and building, or hand it to someone else.

I worked at Smashburger full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Getting to try new food to make suggestion to customers. The people you meet.

    Cons

A good majority of people are inconsiderate; co workers and customers can give the impression of being entitled. A lot of people in manager positions play favorites and were not work appropriate. Making others do most of the work while favorites and managers had unrelated conversations. Hours were not at all consistent (hard to create a life or raise children). Getting in trouble for answering customer questions that took over three minutes.

    Advice to Management

The trainers for the store were great and really helpful. But the management at the store seems to be a hit or miss. More attention should be given to lower staff members ( who are overlooked) because the company can miss out on great people. Its seems some store managers only focusing on people who are favorites for the wrong reasons (and promote). Instead of ones who care about the service others receive and want to make a difference.
