    Pros

The pre merger Snyder's employees are the best you'll ever find. Post merger not so much.

    Cons

Terrible communication, no personal skills, top heavy with pay and bonuses, 10% of the people do 90% of the work, regional managers are out of touch

    Advice to Management

Most of them should go. The CEO is only looking out for himself and the shareholders and has no concern for the IBO's. He is ok with stealing 5% of their money when they sell showing his true character. It starts at the top, everyone I've ever talked to in the company despises him. I guess when your pay package exceeds 3 million and you leave crumbs for the rest you get judged accordingly. He and his cronies ruined a great company. Now he and his minions will collect their bonuses and stocks and cash in when Coke or another corporation buys them out. Keep watching, it will happen.

I have been working at Snyder's-Lance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hourly employees are some of the best workers I've had the opportunity to lead. Most are long-term employees (15+ years).

    Cons

Changing management structure is too heavy on $$$ and not enough on it's employees. Horrible work-life balance. No overtime for salaried leaders on crew schedules. No professional development. No incentive to stay.

    Advice to Management

Work more on current employees personal and professional development. Hire adequate workers for proper balance. Invest in improvements both people and production based.

    Pros

Benefits, Vacation, Stock Options, Weekly Paychecks

    Cons

Too many levels of management... not enough hourly employees to complete the daily work requirements. Warehouse Coordinators answer to District Sales Mgr,& Zone Sales Mgr. Also answer to Regional Ops Mgr & Zone Ops Mgr. Promotions are not given to those who work for it; but, to those who know someone to push them through the ranks.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to those individuals in your warehouses getting the job done! Most of whom are women being overlooked for promotional opportunities. Get more help in the warehouses & trim the management staff!!!

    Pros

Entry level pay has risen to become more competitive and there are plenty of challenges to grow your skills in the company

    Cons

Critical members of the teams who have been here for a long time are being paid the same as the relatively useless newer associates. It makes a lot of people want to just punch the clock and do the bare minimum.

    Advice to Management

Reward the people who keep the place in business.

    I worked at Snyder's-Lance full-time

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. A lot of hours.

    Cons

I worked at Snyder`s Lance for 7 years and 9 months. Out of the blue I was called to the HR office when I went to work on a Monday. I was told I was no longer needed because the company was restructuring. I wasn`t the only one. They let about 50 people go.
Management had changed hands so many times while I worked there, they didn`t know what my skills were or what I contributed to the company.
I was told by the plant manager, if they decided they needed me in the future, I would be called back. I saw a add from them needing a maintenance man and I wasn`t contacted.

    Advice to Management

New management should get to know they`re employees and what they do.

Management by small, limited group (not cpg ppl)
    Hostile senior management
"Figure it out" go to market strategy
    Powerless, absent HR structure

Remove senior executive management team in sales, logistics, HR. Bring in quality talent from the likes of the bigger CPG companies.

    Pros

The Pay is good. After 90 days you get 2 weeks vacation time. A large amount of overtime is offered.

    Cons

Hard to make numbers. Equipment poorly taken care off. Management is poorly trained and very unhelpful. Summer is mandatory 12 hour days. This can get exhausting when Saturday's become mandatory also.
