I have been working at SoCtronics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    > Great Place to learn - Among India's finest
    > Market relevant On the Job Training
    > Cutting Edge Work for some of the best customers/clients Globally
    > People who started careers with this company are today placed globally in the best Core companies not just nationally but Internationally too
    > Job Security: Stable career even in tough market conditions - not like the other companies which will fire at the slightest hint of tough market conditions
    > People who left the company sometime back for the "So Called" top companies are eager to come back or have already joined back
    > Top companies which hire only after 5-6 rounds of interviews hire this company's talent in 20 minutes of telephonic conversations
    > If you take a long term view of your career and are stable for 4-5 years and focus on work, you will realize your salary will be at par with the market or even better if you are a star performer. At the same time, your Knowledge will be better than the market.
    > People crying about the bond are impatient, they want to take shortcuts to high paying jobs, They dont realize that companies in this domain take a very short term approach to talent hiring and fire people once need goes away. Most people in the company are very positive about the bond because these three years of learning are good enough to create decades of solid career.
    > Leadership teams have a proven track record of success, be it the Founder or Directors or VPs.
    >Senior Engineering team members are very helpful and mentor younger/junior engineers in a passionate way
    > A Company with 15+ years of track record cannot be running on gas, the time-frame of existence in itself is proof of the solid fundamentals of this company

    Cons

    > If you are looking for a salary more than your capability, better join the "Big Names" and pray to God that they dont chuck you out when market is tough. If money is main point, you will run out of motivation very quickly
    > Massive increase of headcount in the last 7-8 months and continued aggressive growth means that the support infrastructure is falling short for now, but company is working to improve it, many new office spaces coming up.
    > Longer work hours, but you will not notice these if you are passionate about your work, it is fun for most of the people here
    > If you get attracted by "Big Name" offers (which you will get easily even if you are average here), life will be very hard because it will be very difficult to focus on work and will lead to dissatisfaction.
    > Since it is an upcoming name and does not advertise much you might feel that people do'nt recognize name of your employer and so might feel bad.
    > First 3 years require lot of focus, not everyone's capable.
    > Compared to market, benefits could be more, but there might be changes soon.

    Advice to Management

Moving from a smaller size to bigger size quickly, please keep culture intact

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at SoCtronics full-time

    Pros

Good for fresher's who want to start career in VLSI industry

    Cons

Long working hours. Less pay. You might need to work during weekends and should not expect compensation. The person who leads you doesn't have proper knowledge about the task and expect you to perform the job properly. Lot of politics during appraisal.

    Advice to Management

There is no proper systematic approach . multiple projects are handled by a single person parallel at a time.
