I worked at Société Générale as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice co-workers who are very experienced in the industry and efficient. Learned a lot!

    Cons

Too much office politics on the management level. Poorly structured internship program overall. HR delayed the start date for a week and only notified interns two days in advance. The return rate of intern is very low.

I have been working at Société Générale full-time

    Pros

Good access to senior management, ample learning opportunities, you get a good amount of responsibility even as a junior.

    Cons

If you're not French, there is an obvious glass ceiling. The firm is very bureaucratic as well. Slow moving. The tenacity to make money is not what it is at other banks.

    Advice to Management

    Pay more.
