    I worked at Sodexo full-time

    Pros

Great structure and company to work for especially in culinary. Quality of life you most certainly have and you're not working weekends or holidays

    Cons

The pay wasn't the best and raises and bonuses were non existent

    Advice to Management

The chef manager job is a difficult role especially when having to balance staff, cooking, and financials as well as making sure your numbers are spot on

I have been working at Sodexo (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Can locate in any state if moving. Pays not bad.

    Cons

No recognition. No top raise. No bonuses. Work with no coverage in case of illness.

    Advice to Management

Stop waiting for the last minute to hire people. Get them in while it's slow for proper training!

I have been working at Sodexo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, definitely provides good quality of life compared to restaurants or other food service companies

    Cons

Difficult to advance, cap increases. Would make more money as an external hire than an internal promotion.

After very good performance review got a less than 1% merit increase.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people fair market value and treat your employees at least as good if not better than external candidates.

    Pros

Competitive salary, good benefits and awesome team support.

    Cons

22 million dollar account with 16 hour shifts, sometimes 3 to 4 weeks with no days off.
But did arrange comp days for extra days worked, so made it up in Summer and Christmas:)

Apply for this company, for it has the best certified team with excellent management growth in company.

I worked at Sodexo (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great corporation from global standpoint. Good benefits. Once you are hired they encourage you to look around for other Sodexo jobs to improve yourself

    Cons

You are at the mercy of your new boss. Depending on their personality, you could be happy or not at all. For a very structured company, you never know who's coming in to be your boss.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to line level and lower management about how they feel. They know more about the dynamics than anyone.

I have been working at Sodexo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits package, freedom to move around the country within the company.

    Cons

Non imaginative, pre packaged food. A seasoned chef will question their job decision on the first day. There is zero ability for a chef to excersize their imagination and creativity.

    Advice to Management

Be more concerned with food quality and your mission statement and less focused on "inclusion" and PC training.

I worked at Sodexo (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team members, steady paycheck, plenty of opportunities to better your skills, room for growth,

    Cons

Short staffed accounts, higher level managers who didn't do their job but pushed it off on others, hours that made you feel you lived at the account,

    Advice to Management

You need to take a closer look at your criteria for downsizing an account. I was laid off but someone who wasn't doing the job, and it was known by area manager, kept theirs. Performance would be a better criteria than seniority.

I worked at Sodexo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Only thing likeable was some of the hourly staff and the residents

    Cons

District Managers and GM show not respect had different rules based on nationality. The GM was bias to a point that the clients employees would ask how can you work for her. They allow one long term cook to run them. So afraid of one State inspector that they try to set me up to lose my job if she was found anything. District Manager was GM friend so she did no wrong. She mostly lied to save herself and just hid in her office on the phone or texting her family. District Manager once told hourly staff he was going to bring them some ghetto juice.

    Advice to Management

STOP ALLOWING THE PRATICE OF BIAS TO REMAIN IN YOUR COMPANY YET CLAIM TO BE A DIVESIFIED COMPANY. IT IS KNOWN THAT THIS IS HAPPENING.
