I worked at Sodexo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good Company, good benefits. Opportunities to grow, learn as a manager. Hourly associates have opportunities to grow into management with the effort placed on their part. Free meal each day, and depending on your unit additional perks based on the client.

    Cons

As with all companies a simple change in the management can change everything. A good DM a good General Manager and all can be good. But should there be any change the balance can change and not always for the best.

I worked at Sodexo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great position if you like to be on the move and away from a desk. Campus setting makes each day different. Also great if you are a student or want to work on a school schedule. (Winter and summer months off with lay offs so you can collect unemployment)

    Cons

The gap between supervisors and upper management is unbelievable. Poor communication from top to bottom. Scheduling is chaotic and there are little to no consequences for no shows and you often have to improvise from being short staffed.

    Advice to Management

Work on communication on all levels and pay closer attention to scheduling and disciplinary actions.
