I worked at Sodexo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great position if you like to be on the move and away from a desk. Campus setting makes each day different. Also great if you are a student or want to work on a school schedule. (Winter and summer months off with lay offs so you can collect unemployment)

    Cons

The gap between supervisors and upper management is unbelievable. Poor communication from top to bottom. Scheduling is chaotic and there are little to no consequences for no shows and you often have to improvise from being short staffed.

    Advice to Management

Work on communication on all levels and pay closer attention to scheduling and disciplinary actions.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Sodexo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They do give you benefits but their rates are extremely too high for their minimum wage workers ( a lot of their employees declined signing up with their benefit plans...) I think it's unfair to have to pay your part every week instead of biweekly (according to your pay period.)

    Cons

Underpaid and overworked... Promise help but never get it because of high turn over... No one stays at this Hospital long because of the high demands that they put on individuals with little pay... Unfair and injustice to their workers...

    Advice to Management

Get back to healthy work place by treating an individual the way that you would want to be treated... Fair pay, more help and place stronger and fair individuals in management positions... Your employees will stay and grow with your company and etc.
