I have been working at Sodexo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Corporate support, room for growth, fun environment, standardized, flexible, always keeping up on latest trends and offering solutions to meet those needs

    Cons

Management dishonesty at the unit level (taking credit for another's work, requiring hourly staff to complete management level assignments, not being available because they are gone for personal errands)

I worked at Sodexo part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Sodexo cares about their employees and patient satisfaction. They also have benefits.

    Cons

They do not control their private entities so management at a facility directly affects job satisfaction.

I have been working at Sodexo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I knew nothing about food service when I started, but they trained me on several different aspects of the work. They are fair when promoting workers (always within the company.)

    Cons

The biggest challenge is the high turnover of employees, I think they could be more choosy with their choices of new hires.

    Pros

diversity and career advancement. The range of different kinds of people is amazing. All races, ages, religions, orientations really contribute to a great variety of perspectives

    Cons

pay is low relative to similar jobs with other employers and expectation for significant overtime prevails pretty much across the organization.

    Advice to Management

Provide more information to Managers with regard to goals, client expectations and financial structure of account. As an example, I was never informed that I was eligible for a bonus. Senior Management seems to hold financial info very close to the vest. This is contrary to what they espouse on the company website.
