I worked at Soft-Train as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunity to provide Microsoft Office training in a very specific and targeted environment. Company provides curriculum and training. A wide variety of client sites from city, state, federal and private companies.

    Cons

Very often specific client requirements are not always communicated effectively. Materials for classes are often delivered at the absolute last moment.

I have been working at Soft-Train part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lot's of freedom to create your own training materials and lot's of opportunities to travel and work with great clients.

    Cons

Turnover is very high in this organization, pay is very low, and administratively they are challenged. There are lots of mix-ups and miscommunication. Employees are viewed as resources rather than human beings.

    Advice to Management

Treat your people as if they are your most important resource. Change your business model to focus on the value of the training that you offer rather than the price. This would allow you to pay a better wage.
