I have been working at Sogeti full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

In an industry where balancing home and work can be extremely difficult, Sogeti has given me immense flexibility with hours and work from home options. I'v been able to balance raising kids on my own with work in a way I don't think other tech companies make possible. You are the owner of your career here, if you want to stay at the same level or move up, it seems you can do so since it's an expanding company. Very transparent, ethical culture - I have never seen a sale based on half truths.

    Cons

There is a lack of gender diversity in all level of leadership.

    Advice to Management

I'd like to see more gender diversity among the leaders and also a very clear and well understood structure to move into leadership and increase responsibilities.

I have been working at Sogeti full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Sogeti's Summer of Service Program is excellent! A great way for Sogetian's to take part in making their community a better place to live.

    Cons

Because we work hard with and for our clients the majority of the time, it's important and sometimes difficult to still make Sogeti events a priority.

    Advice to Management

Continue to offer and promote rich programs such as Sogeti's Summer of Service and encourage consultants to take time out and take advantage of the opportunity to give back and get out of the office for while. It's good for the soul.

I have been working at Sogeti full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, training, education. Perfect for you if you want to be in a self managed environment with flexible hours. Able to manage your own portfolio and work towards growing your self development.

    Cons

Self managed environment, many times you are working closely with the client and no other sogeti consultants.

I worked at Sogeti full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good people
Tolerance for short periods of bench time
Best of breed clients (no small operations)
Overly inflated titles (Manager and Senior Manager mean you're a more expensive version of a Senior Developer)

    Cons

Cap on salaries. If you exceed that cap, you had better be a miracle worker
Silly business model. Each account executive nurtures 4-6 clients and no one else. If a midsize company has an opportunity, the account executive has to get VP level approval to talk to them.

    Advice to Management

Be more entrepreneurial. Soak up every opportunity that arises.

I have been working at Sogeti full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Consulting company that has local clients and if the client likes you, can result in long term engagements.

Smart group of coworkers and you can learn a lot, especially when you are working with a group of Sogetians

401k match is good, even though it is paid only at the end of the year - 9% for 150% match. Cant beat that.

    Cons

Cell phone plan, or rather, carrier s(TMobile) sucks. I take calls on the go with my global team and cant count how many times calls get dropped. Sogeti doesn't allow you to switch carriers or reimburse you for it. So I have to pay out of pocket to just do my job. Lame.

Health plan isn't that great. HDP with Aetna.

I have been working at Sogeti full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    A fun, laid back culture,
Fantastic benefits, especially the 401k match and education reimbursement,
The opportunity to work with some amazing client companies, such as General Electric, Proctor & Gamble, and Johnson & Johnson,
    Good work/life balance

    Cons

    Salaries are below average,
Promotion and bonus processes are somewhat political

    Advice to Management

If you want to retain employees rather than see them jump ship, you should pay them what they're worth.
