I worked at Sohu.com (Less than a year)

    Pros

Too good to be true. The working environment is just awesome. Everybody is like brothers to each other. Every Tuesday and Thursday, there would be ball games. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, there would be rock climbing(owned by Sohu). Everybody is so smart, and so fun to spend time with.

    Cons

There's absolutely no cons. Everything was so great. I've never expect my first internship would be treated like this.

    Advice to Management

What sohu really needs is new ideas. They have the technology, and the smart people, but they need better and greater ideas so they can make some thing truly brilliant.

    Pros

It was an amazing experience. All of the colleagues were nice and I learned a lot! Wise choice to take my internship at Sohu! And the office was comfortable, with cozy cubes and considerate facilities in lounges!

    Cons

Colleagues didn't talk to each other much besides business issues. It's understandable for IT guys. But they could spend more time communicating with each other, and this will help keep harmony in office!

    Pros

No matter what your job title are, you have to do many different tasks at a time. You need to learn how to communicate with different people here. Many projects needs different department to collaborate each other.

    Cons

Changes happen everyday. Sometimes you may hear some manager leaves the company. And many new colleagues come in and some old leave. So when you collaborate with someone out of your department, you may do work repeatedly because the one you contact with may change next day.

    Advice to Management

Be patient, and let the specialists dominate the whole project, just give advice for the project, do not let your advice have great influence on it.

This company is very regular, and 15 days annual leave. And most colleagues are very friendly. But the company is old, at current years, there isn't good product.

The biggest challenge is that you have enough time to learn technology, and if you have any good ideas, you can try.
