      Amazing People, Amazing Company

      Pros

Some of the most driven, smart, and passionate people you will ever meet. People make the culture, and the culture at Sojern is amazing. We have always tried to hire people that represent our values and it shows! Open transparency and communication across teams. Love the constructive feedback and push for excellence. Great benefits, PTO, and Flex Fridays (Thursdays in Dubai). To be off at noon on Fridays is awesome! Growth opportunities! In my 6 years of recruitment, I have seen hundreds of folks grow in their careers here. Sojern rewards employees for their hard work and innovation. It's amazing to see.

      Cons

Due to COVID the teams are lean, so work life balance can be a struggle if you don't protect your time, but with travel bouncing back, I could already see the push for hiring to get ready for the uptick in travel that is coming. The fact that the leadership sees this struggle, and implemented the Flex Friday has helped a ton.

      Eggs in one basket

      Pros

Amazing people, culture, and work life balance. I actually looked forward to going to work.

      Cons

Company was not financially prepared for the pandemic. Extremely irresponsible with finances. Money was spent on stupid in-office perks instead of a variety of areas that could’ve used it. Sojern has all their eggs in one basket (travel). If that slows, the whole business suffers. There was a pretty significant lack of leadership transparency as well. Leadership made the decision to let half of the of company go a week after they said “we’re one Sojern and we’re all in this together”. Staff and management in the San Fran office acts like they’re above other offices.

      Pros

The company carried an amazing culture with amazing individuals ! Everyone there was so friendly and supportive of one another. Help was always a question away!

      Cons

The only advice I can give the company is to try to reduce the turnover rate with the higher ups.

      Pros

Great culture, apolitical, weekly all hands with Q&As, several new members to the Exec team in the past year, including women. Over half the Company are women. Diversity is a continuing and welcomed focus. Strong US Benefit plan. Everyone is a stockholder. Unlimited PTO in the US. Strong EMEA and APAC presence.

      Cons

This is not the place for you if you cannot handle change, performance expectations for career growth, or a fast pace. Need to have strong communication skills and EQ.

      Pros

Headline says it all... It is a very employee oriented company. The leadership team takes great care to ensure the well being of the employees and even in times of these challenging times due to covid-19, the company tries its best to keep the interests of the employees in mind. While the travel industry has taken the brunt of this pandemic and the lockdowns, the company expects to bounce back strongly as travel is expected to improve my mid 2021

      Cons

Cant think of much... Some teams are stretched too thin.
