I have been working at Sokrati full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Growth opportunities are good.
    Open door policy
    Great culture

    Cons

No transperancy. No clarity in goals, execution and outcome. Everytime they plan new things and execute none. Lot of adhoc tasks

    Advice to Management

They should communicate with employees about actual plans and not make up stories that will look good. They should be straight to communicate about a persons growth, role, expectations.

I have been working at Sokrati full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great learning opportunity. There is a lot of variety to the work here, be it technology or operations, you will get to work on cutting edge of marketing/ad tech.

You will also get lot of chance to drive things from an early stage itself. Especially good for freshers as it instills a leadership trait right since the beginning. What you learn here if more than just tech, or domain expertise, you also learn how to deal with multiple stakeholders, plan better, execute.

A good place with a lot of smart minds of the industry. Amazing fun culture too as a lot of folk are quite young. A simple office not with a lot of frills. A tt table foos ball table carrom boards etc enough to blow of some steam.

    Cons

It would seem all that learning and opportunity does come at a price.

Workload is more than any average work place so expect that you will have to push yourself harder than anywhere else. It depends on how you take it, its easy if the work is challenging enough which most of the times is, but sometimes things do get monotonous.

When you are made an owner, it comes with the pressure of delivery too, so you are responsible for the account or product delivery being worked on. The culture here is of speed and hence a lot of time deadlines are tight. You will like it if you are as impatient about showing performance, but it can get too much sometimes.

To sum it up not a place for someone who is looking for a evenly paced job with work life balance. Work tends to be on the heavier side and you will enjoy (a lot actually) only if you really love what you are doing.

    Advice to Management

Try and curb the long work hours of certain employees they just add a lot to peer pressure. Encourage both smart and hard work not just hard work. Try and avoid working on weekends it spoils the good culture you have. Employees doing nothing or taking a break are a good sign for productivity and happiness. Payment can be improved too.
