I have been working at Soliant Consulting full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flex time, great pay, AMAZING people to work with, really enjoyable work, really fun culture

    Cons

I have worked with some employees with in the past that I had a really hard time working with, but they are no longer at the company. The con is that Soliant take too long to let people go who aren't doing a quality job, but they do let them go eventually. I guess that could be viewed as a Pro to some people, they really give you a ton of chances to improve.

I have been working at Soliant Consulting (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, great culture, nice location, and overall a good group of folks to work with.

    Cons

Would like to see more project managers engaged at the company. They seem to be overloaded an unable to fully contribute to the needs of a project at times.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the efforts to invest in the employees and empower their ability to learn new skills.

I worked at Soliant Consulting (Less than a year)

    Pros

Bi-monthly team lunches, very kind management, dedicated people, friendly atmosphere

    Cons

It wasn't perfect. But the process was close.
Not easy to advance, pretty much stay in the role you get hired for.

I have been working at Soliant Consulting full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team, lots of common sense at the company. Growth, but not too much growth. Owners really care and "open door policy" isn't just words. It's nice to be able to talk to an owner about the business and be heard.

    Cons

Company can feel a little like it has culture pockets.. would like to get to know the other offices better.

I have been working at Soliant Consulting full-time

    Pros

Soliant is a nice place to work - they respect your work-life balance, provide perks like conferences to many and are pretty all-round nice to work for.
Full health benefits are provided and currently there is a yearly company offsite normally held at a south bay area resort.
Soliant is generally open to working from home for a large part of the time (depending on your location). San Mateo is more flexible in this regard that Chicago and Philadelphia.

    Cons

Salaries are at the low end for a Bay Area based company

I have been working at Soliant Consulting full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like how they make sure we have a good level of autonomy as well as how their trust towards their employees. There is a lot of transparency and people tend to help a lot.

    Cons

I'd like to see less people working from home. The new office is great but I feel there isn't much interaction between employees.

I have been working at Soliant Consulting full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Everyone is very nice and are concerned about work life balance.

    Cons

As it is a smaller company some polices are not as well defined as they are in a bigger company.

I have been working at Soliant Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Soliant pays attention to clients, not just coding.. I like the variety of projects, I get a lot of interaction with different people, and I can always see the systems we build put to use. It was exciting to see our projects used a huge company we all know. As a consulting company, Soliant is not as high-pressure as others... I think there's good balance. I also think the company is really great about taking care of people. I had a family issue come up and one of the owners took a personal interest in helping my circumstances. I also think there are incredibly smart people at the company, but it doesn't go to their heads.

    Cons

No company is perfect... I wish we had better tools sometimes. The systems we use don't always talk to each other, and the interface of our home grown system can get in the way at times. Still, we have a small company mindset and there's room for people to do stuff on their own.

    Advice to Management

Keep growing the business. It feels like we should hire more quickly.
