    Pros

If you want to get by in this company just do whatever they say, and dont talk alot.

    Cons

Management, is lacking very much. I dont think anyone has taking management classes. They dont have structure. Management does not follow by example. They get here late everyday and expect everyone else to be on time.. DOES THAT MAKE SENCE? LEADERSHIP AND MANGEMENT GO HAND AND HAND..

    Advice to Management

Take classes, treat employees like you should. Be the one to set the good example. Come to work on time everyday.

I worked at Solid Gold Pet full-time

    Pros

The products Solid Gold sell are second to none. they make a good food. They have a great office. Typical vacations time. Good salaries.

    Cons

Management needs help. Take some classes (for on VP a spelling and English class). They practice ZERO communication from the VP level and up. Firing employees for no reason is not a good reason.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate! With! Your! Employees!

    Pros

Cool workspace. Non-Management employees are pretty good to be around, and do genuinely love animals.

    Cons

Awful leadership. Very top-down approach. Zero communication from management down. Questionable hires to "senior leadership" positions. There's a VP who cannot complete an email without making at least 10 spelling errors, nor effectively convey simple ideas. This is alarming to see at the VP level, and in hindsight is reflective of the rest of management. They appear to overestimate the value they add to the company, which leads me to believe it's the reason why they are so authoritative in their approach to management. Upper management is very unclear about what they are looking for and, in my experience, seem a little confused. I personally asked clarification of duties, and feedback on work no less than a thousand times and was not once given a clear response if given a response at all.

While the rest of employees are pretty nice, almost all of them have expressed doubt in their respective managers and see them as fairly incompetent. Zero continuity between departments.

    Advice to Management

Realize your real value to the company, as well as your employees value, and stop treating them like they are dumb. Maybe take a few classes on communicating effectively.
