    Pros

    Promotes self redirected work force. Follow workers are awesome.

    Cons

    They do what they want. Changing policy to get rid of people. Always Operators fault, management doesn't take responsibly for them selves.

    I have been working at Solvay full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good $, Excellent Benefits Package and Insurance

    Cons

    A lot of hands on work, at one point in time they hired just about anybody to fill positions. People with no experience or education. It shows.

    Advice to Management

    Get away from seniority and start meritocracy.

    Fairly clean environment. Shop floor workers friendly.

    Cons

    Useless management. Greedy self centered shift leaders. Under qualified staff. No progression opportunity. distinct lack of training. hide health & safety incidents to obtain bonuses.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in operator training. Employ suitable qualified staff. Replace top management and shift leaders. Invest in staff facilities. Build a car park.

    I worked at Solvay for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Average pay, pension matching contribution, invest in facilities, health & safety.

    Cons

    Management useless, management no industry experience, yes men with no back bone, satellite site, No HR on site, useless with procedure, no training for operators, no progression opportunity, more chiefs than Indians. Selfish people after corporate benefits.

    Advice to Management

    Replace all management team altogether.
