    Pros

Parking discount, great line level team the ones that have been there when it was a family hotel. High peak low peak which works for life work balance.

    Cons

Under paid managers, horrible medical benefits, higher manager clueless but Great on having middle
Managers do their work while they sit back and do nothing.

    Advice to Management

New exco team needed current ones are joke hence the lack of mangers currently there. Higher managers just look after themselves very fake.

I have been working at Sonesta International Hotels full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Small company so your work is needed and appreciated verbally. Personal relationships and culture of caring.

    Cons

Compensation rarely meets the level of service you provide and increases are minimal. Organization is constantly figuring things out as they go and lack leadership and focus.

    Advice to Management

Do more to retain the team members who work hard to make the company a success. Talk is cheap after the same message is heard consistently.

    Pros

Energetic, growing company. Lots of opportunities do and learn more. Like the Culture of Caring. Like the focus on results.

    Cons

Has grown so fast in the past 5 years that it may not be a good fit for someone that needs everything very clear and predictable.

I worked at Sonesta International Hotels full-time

    Pros

You get a lot of autonomy and ownership when you know what you're doing and have channel expertise

    Cons

The team is very lean, and there is no opportunity for career advancement in the corporate office. They would rather have you leave the company than give you a promotion or raise. And they build their 'team' with consultants or contractors who rotate in and out every few months, hurting the corporate culture and any chance of retaining historical domain knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Start treating employees like you value them with promotion opportunities for work well done. Stop building teams with consultants and contractors who aren't invested in the company and who have a very high churn rate. It hurts morale and reduces the effectiveness of your full time employees (who have to constantly re-train people).

    Pros

Worked overnight, so I didn't have to deal with managers

    Cons

    The pay is horrible.
My supervisor didn't have a backbone.

I worked at Sonesta International Hotels full-time

    Pros

Room discount for employees, okay starting wage, fairly easy job if you work the front desk.

    Cons

Passive aggressive management. If you give them any positive suggestions, they will treat you like cheap because they didn't think of it first. Constant harrasment. All employees are not treated equal. If you are a favorite of management, you get special treatment. Hour cuts. If they hire you full time, it is a lie. They will drastically cut your hours when it is slow with no remorse.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees better.
