    Pros

Non management workers are lovely. You get vacation.

    Cons

Upper management doesn’t care. If you’re good at your job they will drain you. When you do good things you don’t hear anything but if you do something wrong they tear into you and make you feel like trash.

    Advice to Management

LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES! Check in on them once in awhile just to see how things are going. Don’t burn out your best workers.

I have been working at Sonesta International Hotels full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly employees, good work-life balance, nice benefits, good sick/vacation/holiday pay scale

    Cons

Poor hourly pay, upper management is a joke (they take NOTHING seriously - employee or guest relations), company has no claims department for employees or guest injuries that might happen on property, company has no structure

    Advice to Management

Actually motivate, challenge, listen to, and drive your employees. Don't just over-work and ignore them until they decide to quit.

I have been working at Sonesta International Hotels full-time

    Pros

This company has great potential, as they are opening more and more hotels in the US. The work hours are great, and you have the opportunity to meet some amazing clients.

    Cons

There is a lot of cold calling, and the brand is not very well known yet. Not much support from upper management, including capital for the product enhancements. There are no real SOP's, thus implementing standards is a challenge.

I worked at Sonesta International Hotels full-time

    Pros

Co-workers are nice and become some of your good friends. Culture of caring. Some fun office activities. Good bonuses. Good location in Newton.

    Cons

Benefits could be better. Health insurance has high deductible. Salary vs. workload is not justified. OT is not encouraged. Upper management needs work.

    Advice to Management

Compensate your employees as they should based on workload. Consider promotions more within the company instead of constantly hiring new people.

I have been working at Sonesta International Hotels full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Excellent benefits package, flexible schedule ,opportunity to advance to other properties within a growing company

    Cons

Upper management completely out of touch and take no ownership for their failure to motivate and keep management engaged. Low moral.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate poor performers and promote from within based on talent and skill instead of time employeed with company.
