I worked at Sonic part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible hours.
    Good work out.

    Cons

Customers do not know you are supposed to tip carhops, Sonic seems to take advantage of this and actively hide the fact that employees are paid a tip offset salary to make their prices seem cheaper, although food prices are already very expensive. Customers are not offered any method to tip by card, and had no plan to intergrate this in the future, even though less and less people carry change to tip with. Carhops can expect to sometimes make less than minimum wage here, especially if you are somewhat unattractive or male.
Carhops are expected to perform a mass amount of indoor duties, that detract from the time that you can take out orders, during this time you are guaranteed to make less than minimum wage.

They offer a measly employee discount on food.

    No paid breaks.

    Advice to Management

Pay universal minimum wage or advertise that customers are expected to tip their employees.

I have been working at Sonic full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The hours a flexible and the customers are polite. Over all it is a good starting point to work for young people with no job experience.

    Cons

The longer you work for the place, the more it seems to take over your personal life, although that may just be me.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to focus more on training the employees for the role they have been hired for.

    I worked at Sonic full-time

    Pros

Great pay good potential for advancement if your white as most supervisors are white and only advance white or black

    Cons

Was made aware I was brown Latino everyday and was just short of being there landscaping guy if I wasn't so good at letting racial comments breeze by me for 3 years and meeting my numbers finally got tired of discrimination I left

    Advice to Management

Get a diverse group of supervisors that do more then drop off paperwork and degrade other races as most supervisors are white and generally all general managers are white regardless of how good a manager is white power always rules over all sorry hispanics out there don't work here you'll get bottom pay and asked to work harder then the white man 🖕🏻
