Its a fun, fast paced job that you can work your way up in the company. Its definitely not for someone who wants the same thing everyday when you go to work. Always a great work environment, and I've worked at a few of them. Easy to learn, can go from no cars on parking lot to every stall full. Spontaneous work, always something new coming to the menu. Never boring. Have opportunity of making tips on top of your hourly wage, and I've walked out with over $100 in tips for a shift.

Cons

When working as a carhop and having to go outside to bring orders to customers can be a little hard on you because in the summer it can be extremely hot, or extremely cold in the winter especially if the wind is blowing or if it's pouring down rain and the customer is parked all the way at the end on the other side of the lot, sometimes customers can be extremely rude to you, in the summer when it's hot and ice cream is popular it can get extremely hectic when you have a lot of orders come in back to back......or if there is a promotion for like $0.50 regular hot dogs with no limit of how many per customer can get frustrating at times

Took one year to get a pay raise. Worked long shifts well past when I was supposed to leave. With having stalls and drive through, it gets busy and is sometimes nearly impossible to do. I have never had a job that made me have as many breakdowns as this one did. Drama seemed to always be around as I was a teenager working with other teenagers in a high stress environment. The customers were sometimes unbearable. Overall this place is draining and not a place I would recommend to work.

Fast-paced so time flies! Your coworkers become like family. Honestly had so much fun working at Sonic.
