Pros
Great team of people with diverse background. Good transparency with weekly company meetings. Onboarding is the best I have ever seen in a company of this size.
Cons
Sometimes get lost in the company meetings, lots of terms only some people are familiar with.

Pros
- Great working environment. Employees are valued and appreciated. - Very good benefits: HSA option for health insurance, 401K, unlimited vacation days after 3 yrs, flexible work schedule - Solid leadership: very professional, very knowledgeable, leading the company to stay ahead of market trends
Cons
- Communication: occasionally, information is not properly disseminated. Though there has been notable improvement on this lately - Not necessarily a con. Sonobi has a great team spirit. Employees support each other and freely share their knowledge and expertise. This is a core characteristic of the company culture. Employees that appreciate and thrive in such an environment, love the workplace. Employees that prefer to work alone have difficulty fitting in.

Pros
I loved working for amply but after we got bought it by sonobi, everything crashed. The good thing is that in KC you don’t see many of the sonobi people often
Cons
I shared my concerns with these reviews when Sonobi bought Amply, only to be vaguely told that no sexual harassment had been reported to HR and that HR told the CEO my concerns. Moving forward, things got worse each month. The only thing these people care about is money. They (as in CEO and COO) are greedy and don’t care about individuals. The CEO directly calls employees, even on their PTO days. Not only is the management bad, but the purpose of the company is scummy. The whole purpose is to trick people Into clicking something that is click baity and make money off of them. The day after The war in Ukraine started, the company was talking about how they could “make money off of the interest in the war.” Someone said “I feel bad for them but might as well get something good out it.” Later, an employee passed away suddenly and everyone was expected to carry on their lives as normal. The ceo said “IF you’re effected then FEEL FREE to take the day off early.” The next week he said we needed to make as much revenue as possible. A good leader would not act this way. If you just started working for this company, find a way out. Many before you have expressed concerns. No action or care was shown.

Pros
- Free catered lunches, occasional team events - Nice coworkers, smart people who are happy to help if you have questions - Depending on your manager, flexibility when taking time off or if something comes up
Cons
The cons outweigh the pros in my opinion. There is a lot of stagnation and smart people leaving (went from 80 to 20 in the KC office post-acquisition). There aren't enough people to get anything moving in the right direction, despite there being a few smart, hard-working people left. There are a lot of levels and it takes forever to get anything into motion (lack of engineering resources since the engineers who know the products all left). Sonobi has a ton of long meetings when there aren't enough people left to have time wasted in non-essential meetings. The overall feeling of the company is stagnant for many reasons, which can be discouraging. With all of this being said, if you are early on in your career, it's not the worst place to get good experience and a lot of responsibility super quick (good resume builder). It's not the worst place to work, but overall not recommended. I think it could be turned around with the right decisions from C-Suite leadership.

Pros
I can't come up with one good thing to say here.
Cons
Do yourself a favor. READ these other reviews. The 5 star reviews are super short, super vague, super recent, and super written by the current leadership in hopes of covering up all the others. The company is plagued by sexual harassment in the past and the present. Several women have been harassed in the office and at company events; nothing has been done to correct this behavior. The harassers are still employed while all of the victims have quit. This company's three most important values are arrogance, ignorance, and egos. The benefits are garbage, and the insurance covers absolutely nothing. HR is a complete joke as well. No conversation is private. HR will say ANYTHING about ANYONE, including the CEO. It’s toxic to the core. I can safely say that the CEO, CFO, and the people they promote are the most toxic people I have ever worked with, but it's very entertaining to watch them argue over each other in a meeting when not one of them has a clue what they're doing. I have no idea how this company is still around.

Pros
Collaborative Environment with good structure
Cons
Unclear directives, lacked job growth potential
- 1.0Jun 15, 2022Anonymous EmployeeFormer Employee, less than 1 yearKansas City, MO
Pros
pay is good as long as you bring a counter offer to them coworkers are hard working free lunches and snacks
Cons
I think the biggest issue is that they don't listen to employees concerns. The KC office (formerly Amply Media) went from about 75-80 people pre Sonobi acquisition and is now down to 15-20. They no longer do exit interviews, and never did a culture survey to gauge people's concerns. Some people met with HR directly, but no changes came from it. The KC office has become a very toxic work environment. Harassment (mostly verbal and physical) is very common but HR did very little to remove the offender(s). You spend most of the day in useless meetings and are left with little time to actually accomplish tasks. For a company that is bleeding people, there is no off-boarding process. They've let important teams nearly collapse because they essentially don't speak to you after you give your notice.

Pros
I've been with the company for almost 5 years and it is the best workplace I have ever been to. Everybody is extremely knowledgeable, professional, smart and caring to get things done. The work-life balance company offers beats everything, the company values each employee and their input. You are appreciated and trusted. The entire management and HR are extraordinary, very professional, inspiring, supportive, very open to all ideas and really trusting the employees. The company always supports you to succeed and become the best in what you do. The company is growing really fast, which is impressive and it makes me feel very proud to be a part of it.
Cons
The benefits when I started weren't the best, but over time they offer amazing benefits!
- 1.0Apr 26, 2022AnalystFormer Employee, more than 1 year
Pros
Unlimited PTO, middle management, direct co-workers, catered lunches. But don't get too attached as everyone is leaving/has left and catered lunches can only go so far.
Cons
Very little transparency on whats going on with the company, no clear communicated plans after acquisition, most employees have left or are leaving but no one communicated why or what they are doing to try to counter it. Took forever to fill open positions when people started leaving in masses, had 2 people doing the work of a team of 5 for months. C-suite is arrogant, shady, and unfriendly. Constantly interrupting and talking over people in meetings. Don't take employees ideas into consideration even though these employees are the ones doing the day by day work and know more but their ego's cannot handle that. Bad work life balance. My notifications were consistently going off after work hours or on the weekends and you are expect to respond to them. Expected to be on-call over the weekends but for no extra compensation.
