I have been working at Sonora Quest Laboratories full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good people to work with and the health benefits are good too.

    Cons

High turnover due to a few bad apples that management encourages.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing double standards. People who are trying to work hard and do a good job are not your enemy. It's the ones who "appear" as the good guy , but make life a miserable hell for others that is causing people to leave

I have been working at Sonora Quest Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Sunday's off, pay is ok

    Cons

Better work/life balance is needed. More focus on patient quality, care and kindness is needed. Less focus on speed and lack of attention to as many patients can be seen in a few minutes. Also the new patient care experience takes so much extra time to get the patient signed in, often doesn't work. Long hours on your feet. Poor team encouragement.

I have been working at Sonora Quest Laboratories full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its a job..... Easy interview. Good for if you just got out of school and you need a job. Depending on location, the schedule/ hours can be good. They generally don't try to cover-up instrumentation issues or bad results.

    Cons

Gossip. People will try to stab you in the back because they suck at their job. Pay is really low compared to other companies. The benefits are useless unless you have a chronic condition where you are at the doctor alot. Trying to move up in the company is a ridiculous process. You have to do this career ladder which involves alot of work for a very small raise. These guys also are real overtime freaks. If you have even 5 minutes of overtime they might make you go home early or take a long lunch.

    Advice to Management

Pay people better for crying out loud.

    Pros

Benefits are good, nice people to work with, the hours can be flexible if the people you work with are willing to work with you

    Cons

Upper management changes quite a bit. Very top heavy in administration, constantly cutting back on staff to save money and make budget. Forced PTO when they can't make annual budget.
