I worked at Sonora Quest Laboratories part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Upper management is horrible to their employees, sites are short staffed and we aren’t allowed to work any overtime. The pay is garbage!! Sonora Quest has such a huge presence in Arizona, you’d think they could afford to pay their employees better... it’s embarrassing, especially with minimum wage going up, each year. This company has a hard time retaining employees past one year, because they are treated like crap and are underpaid. Too much drama.

    Advice to Management

Medical professionals pay quite a bit of money to go to school, in order to learn these jobs that pay way too little. My 18 year old daughter makes just as much as I do, working in fast food. That’s RIDICULOUS AND EMBARRASSING. Maybe do some “house cleaning” with current your current management??

I worked at Sonora Quest Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Paid time off and health insurance

    Cons

Management plays favorites and when they ask about how do you feel about the company they expect you to be cookie cutter happy. Whenever a supervisor felt that you were considered a “threat” you’d get longer hours and write ups.

I worked with banner staffing and ended up working at Sonora quest for a good 2 years. I was getting paid 13.50 to do front desk work, draw blood, take co pays, call out billers to discuss a bill and to process our samples. We were always short staffed making it hard to work. In addition, we were limited to our butterfly needles. During orientation the company sells you a dream but once you start working you’ll the dreadful reality. No ethics in this company and upper management gets the big bucks as you see Dave Dexter driving a Tesla.

Oh did I mention their quanum system that we use to enter orders is always down.

    Advice to Management

Treat your phlebotomist better since we are the face of the company and do a lot of roles in our job.

    Pros

Good benefits, lots of overtime available, long term job is desired.

    Cons

Lots of false promises. Horrible communication in every department and between departments, no actual room for advancement, management picks favorites instead of who's qualified. No recognition from supervisors and not given the tools for our job.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication, promote people that deserve it and have the qualifications, give employees recognition for their work. Be more willing to work with employees on changes.
