Nurture your entry-level employees more. Make people want to grow within your company rather than spend a few years there and leave.

I have been working at Sony Music Entertainment part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A great working environment. I am learning the internal aspect of recruitment different from my past experience in staffing agencies. Sony Music has its own restaurant, coffee bar, and cafeteria catering to their employees. If I can Yelp about the cafeteria similar to an Urbanspace setup, I would hehe! I love working for Sony Music and doing what I am passionate for which is sourcing and connecting LinkedIn candidates with what Sony Music Entertainment has to offer them a better opportunity to join us.

    Cons

There are no cons for me.

I have been working at Sony Music Entertainment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People, culture and success. There is a real feeling of team in my department. They embraced me from my first day on the job and have been critical to making my first few weeks a success. In my position I get to work across departments and all have been very welcoming. Great mix of tenure. Many employees and executives have been with Sony Music for years and stay because of the environment, culture and let's face it - it's Sony Music! There are also many newbies, like myself, looking to add value and bring fresh ideas, which are accepted.

It feels good to be part of a successful company with a great culture.

    Cons

More opportunities for employees at all levels to discover the whole of Sony Music and get out of their home departments.

I have been working at Sony Music Entertainment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people. Friendly, helpful and respectful colleagues. Teamwork and innovation are appreciated and encouraged. Good mix of people who have been there a long time (who still love their jobs) and new people. And... the business is WINNING!!! Overall, the energy is positive and purposeful. I really enjoying coming to work and I hope they'll have me for a long time. It's been my dream for many years to work here and Sony Music has not disappointed. If you respect the ART, have a winning attitude, willing to work hard and want to make a difference, this is the place for you. My family is proud of my accomplishment and so am I. The location in trendy Flatiron is great. Wonderful food choices and not overun with tourists and corporate types. The building is modern and aesthetically appealing. The benefits are competitive, affordable AND very, very progressive. I really enjoy working here and only wish I joined sooner.

    Cons

Would like to hear more formally from Executive management more regularly. Though when you see them, they are super friendly, accessible and approachable.
