I have been working at SourceHOV full-time

    Pros

    Autonomy, flex schedule, good co-workers

    Cons

Project management tools are poor, global communication infrastructure is extremely challenging, leadership isn't concerned about client issues or resolutions. You are essentially on your own in every capacity and offshore teams are short-staffed and unorganized.

    Advice to Management

Spend time with your direct reports and follow through with solutions. Give clients the attention they deserve.

    Pros

I cannot make any positive comments.

    Cons

Unable to go to medical appts when necessary. Make sure you obtain a signed contract with details upon accepting an offer of employment due to the "Employment at Will" rule in Missouri. President will try to coerce you accept PT employment when you try to take your PTO. Intimidates his employees by threatening to terminate them.

    Advice to Management

Have more integrity in your dealings with your employees. President/Director has a self-serving attitude with no respect for their long term employees. Give up front honest information with an offer of employment.

I worked at SourceHOV full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Casual environment, close commute (for me), no weekends unless there was mandatory work (which was far and few between)

    Cons

Typical BPO company. Too many managers across the board located in various offices, both in the US and other countries. Management was self absorbed in her own personal life, rarely even came into the office. Pet employees. I was not one of them. Work was suppose to be based on production, but this was never made into existence..therefore you had a few employees producing double or triple the work load, and other's barely doing anything, all making the same entry level wage. Job was short lived, as I predicted) given all of the above.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone fairly. Pay according to work produced, not just for clocking in.

I worked at SourceHOV full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Hmm... They have benefits (expensive though).

    Cons

This company is all about increasing the revenue for the investors. Doesn't matter how it is done as long as the investors always come out with maximum return. That means do everything as cheaply as possible. For instance, there is an insistence that nothing can be created in the US; everything has to be done offshore because it is cheaper. Even if the customer requires onshore, they will find every opportunity to sneak it offshore. Of course, the cheapness shows in the products; nothing works correctly as the controls on the offshore teams is basically non-existent.

Company refuses to establish measurable processes to get the work done and refuses to invest in tools to enable the processes. Everything is done in spreadsheets or word documents that get passed around via email. Good luck finding the correct version as your email box will fill up in less than a week with all the attachments.

One can suggest change, but if one single penny is to be spent that does not result in any return, it will be shot down.

Oh yeah, bonuses have disappeared, but they were barely present after the merger.

    Advice to Management

Quit looking for the get rich short-term gain it will wind up costing you more in the future.

Re-evaluate decisions and do not be afraid to reverse prior decisions when they prove to be incorrect. Someone really needs to look at the offerings again and realize that the plug/play aspect of those is not good. But support is offshore thus it is cheaper.

Don't forget about your employees the are 'invested' too.
